How is Willard not COY? Nova simply met expectations. Seton Hall vastly overperformed.

Nova is in a rebuilding year and won the regular season conference championship!

Seton Hall is in a pretty big rebuilding year as well, maybe even bigger than Nova's. Nova I'm pretty sure was picked #1 preseason and Seton Hall #9. Up to this point Nova has definitely had a better year, but I think the award should factor in expectations some. I view the COY award differently from POY. For POY, I'd just go without whoever was the best player.

Lol. We’ve played great at the Garden a couple times this year and have had huge wins the last few years. Let’s see what gear PC is in at noon tomorrow. I doubt it’s a great one.

That’s it, really. Just wanted to say that.[/quote]

For years they will be telling the tale of the man who managed to finish 7-11 and in 8th place in a down Big East with Alpha Diallo, Nate Watson, and three top 50 RSCI recruits.

Providence seems to make the NCAAs every season. They were giving Nova a good game up until 5 minutes ago and have destroyed us twice this season. I’d take Ed Cooley.

We already had Ed Cooley...and we fired him. A coach that recruits big strong kids, makes the game ugly and physically and obsesses over fundamentals...that was Jarvis.

I don’t see how Providence’s season can be labeled anything but disappointing unless they win the conference.

Nice to see all these annoying teams eliminated from the BET. Butler, DePaul, and now Providence.

Against those teams, we were 1-5 during the regular season. Just need to get Xavier knocked out...

Big difference in the quality of the men mentioned.

Cooley's a good coach and great for the league. This wasn't his best year. That team was picked preseason third in the league for a reason. Yes Reeves got hurt but they have plenty of talent and depth. It's fine to say that a guy didn't have a great year as a coach but acknowledge that he is still a very good one who Providence is lucky to have.

Curtis Johnson was as big as they get.

Not to mention Abe Keita, Mo Diakite and the delightful Grady Reynolds
