Around the Big East 18/19
Of course Markus Howard misses a free throw
When they played Providence on Saturday, it was mentioned that he was playing through hip discomfort.

Has not looked like himself the last two games, so I wonder if he might shut it down for a game or two, just to be safe.

Nova winning means we can’t move up in the standings, so hopefully they and Marquette win out the rest of the regular season and eliminate our competition.

Nova: Butler (who has additional incentive to win), at SH
Marquette: Creighton, at SH, Georgetown

Looks like SH can punch or rip up their dance card with those 2 games and a trip to DC.

Here are the other Big East games for this weekend.

Saturday, March 2:

2:00 PM - Butler at Villanova - FOX
6:30 PM - Seton Hall at Georgetown - CBS SN

Sunday, March 3:

3:00 PM - Creighton at Marquette - FS1

Probably should be rooting for Nova, Georgetown and Marquette.

If the top 2 do their jobs this weekend, that gives Crieghton and Butler 10 losses. It would greatly increase our chances of not having to play in the first round of the Big East Tournament.
Interesting.

Of course I wanted a win tonight, because I think it would have locked up an NCAA Tournament bid, but BE tournament wise, we might have (for now anyway - a lot can change) played ourselves into a better Big East Tournament matchup.

think the 4-5 game is at 2:30 damn, would like the 3 seed, thats the 9:30 game, oh well I'll bring my radio to work.

Just saw that our last game with Xavier is a 5 pm start on Fox next Saturday. Had been TBD until today.

Gives us adequate time to “drunk post” if we lose. :)

If Myles Powell doesn’t take the shot it’s a wasted possession for seton hall right now. No one else can even hit the rim

It’s like a library in the Hoyas arena right now. And you can noticeably hear Ewing yell “REBOUND!” Everytime seton hall takes a shot. Maybe mullin should do that for us, and we will have a better showing on the boards

Mullin yells "get back" when we take a shot on offense and "look out, duck" when the opponent puts up a shot.

I actually have footage of mullin coaching whilst micd up. Incredibly revealing, gives you a better understanding of the refs beef with him

Gtown - Hall a great game. I'd prefer to play Hall a week from Thursday rather than Gtown or Xavier but all of these games are just tough games!
