Around College Basketball

The MAAC just announced that all student-athletes and athletic personnel in the league are required to get vaccinated against COVID-19.

I'm confused.  If he's reclassified to 2021 how does he improve the 2022 class?  I assume he plays in the fall if he's really reclassified, rather than just getting out of HS to take advantage of NIL like the QB who enrolled in Ohio State.

Chris Herron Jr. after playing 3 seasons of college basketball at San Diego and Boston College transfers to Alabama as a walk on wide receiver. He is the 18th wide receiver on the roster of which 10-11 are on scholarship. Played some HS football and is son of former BC star Cris Herron. Odds of him seeing the field are less than Rudy's were but maybe he'll try and walk on to the hoops team also where his odds would be almost as long to ever see the court.

Latest Lunardi bracketology has 4 Big East teams in - Nova a 3 seed, UCONN 7, Xavier 8 and Hall 11 seed and in play-in game. Johnnies are second team out after Cuse. Just don't see us finishing behind the Hall this year (or UCONN for that matter).

Bracketology is a low reliability proposition at this point when nobody has played a game and especially in a year where there has been far more movement/turnover than typical

Hearing chatter regarding 'alliance' between ACC, Big 10 & Pac 12 to combat SEC expansion/power.  Potential announcement by early next week -

Local story on new PAC 12  commissioner, who was a former hotel exec in Las Vegas. Conference already playing their basketball tournament in Vegas and is shifting the football championship here this year, too.
He explained he has met with several schools already re possible conference membership. He wouldn't name the interested schools, but did say some were a surprise. Mountain West schools like San Diego State and UNLV  should both be on the short list, if geography is a factor, but who knows.
