Around College Basketball

I love to see it.

Everything was all peachy in Kansas when bags were being dropped, and other programs didn't / couldn't play that game.

The landscape has changed. Kansas and Bill must adjust.

Being a B12 school doesn't help them, as they will not get benefits of pollsters / selection committee doubts like the B!G and especially the "SEC, SEC, SEC."

Wonder have much Storr and his mom contributed to Kansas downfall. Glad he left 2 years ago as Rick would not pamper him and put up with his Mom's BS. Storr's stats have dropped below what he produced in his fisrt year when he passed through St. Johns.

It was Gardner and his mom looking for assurances. Pitino did speak to Store about staying but he was already headed out the door to maximize his monetary value.

We definitely missed him last year and he looked good at Wisconsin but horrible this year.

The SEC levies fines to the home school for fans “storming” the field or court. Storming the field or court as defined by the SEC is when the visiting team and/or game officials are still on the playing surface when fans enter the field or court of play.

The SEC does allow schools to adopt a policy allowing fans on the field or court after the opposing team and officials have safely made their way off of it.

The first offense for storming is $100,000, the second $250,000 and $500,000 for any subsequent violations after the second incident. The storming incidents and fines cover and carry over from sport to sport. Example, if your first incident was after a football game, and then the second was at after a basketball game, the school would be on the hook for $250K for the basketball incident.

Gates also should have mentioned that their team is ranked No. 15, so rushing the court is stupid even when removing financial considerations from the equation.
