Around College Basketball

I'll cut it down to two words for you, Carmine: TOP HEAVY

And since a picture is worth a thousand words, here are the conferences merged and sorted by NET. In the somewhat-arbitrary tiers I put them into, the leagues are basically even in the top 3 tiers (Duke is clearly the best team and I don't think it's especially close). But when you get to the bottom two tiers the only word for the ACC is ... woof. 9 of the bottom 11 teams in NET. And 12 of the bottom 17.

Top heavy. Is that so?

LAST YEAR - Just LAST Year - last year!

The conference had two elite eight team and one final four team neither of which were named Puke or North Carolina! Splain that.

Kenpommegranit, Nets, Deerankings, your stupid eye test are all meaningless. Only the results matter. ACC won more tournament games than any other conference! Did I mention it was Last year?

Knicks and Rangers are of course are priority, Bill Joel and we fall somewhere behind that but ahead of Ru. The number of games we played there in the past had to do with a lot of factors including the fact that we sucked for so many years and online when UConn came to town and the occasional game against Syracuse. St. John’s was losing money.

This year has changed the narrative and I am sure everyone knows it. More games at MSG, the dates and times is a decision made among MSG, St. John’s, the Big East (scheduling) and Networks to work on. The better this season goes, the more games at MSG.

Getting mad or upset because others use the Worlds Most Famous Arena especially on a day when we were off is just a waste of time and thought.
Teams other than SJU playing games at MSG has always occurred and will always occur. And that does not impact SJUs ability to use it as a primary home court and never has.

You did.
BTW how did the ACC do against the SEC this year?
As long as we're asking questions, how many P5 conferences have half the league with NET rankings of 100+?
In the immortal words of Micheal Ray Richardson - the ship be sinking!
But the ship is blessed to have Captain Carmine to go down with it! Where else can you find loyalty like that?

Yes, it is very likely that Nil is going to ruin the balance of power in college basketball and that the huge football conferences with unlimited $$$ take over at the expense of the Acc and other basketball centric conferences? Perhaps it's happened already and it plays out that way in March 25. But shouldn't we get to see empirical tournament evidence of it for a season or 2 till we determine the ship sank? Cause just LAST YEAR the Acc constitution floated above almost all other conferences.

Billy Joel's MSG residency ended over the summer.

I think the difference is Rutgers slapping down the Rutgers logo and counting it as a “home” game is a little much. That’s a little different to me than playing a team at the Garden.

Good news is, they lost anyway. Same old, same old.

Anyone watching this NC State vs Duke game. Good game marred by absolutely bizarre happenings. Kid on Duke vomits all over the floor for 10 minute delay. Looks like he just got sick literally. He leaves the game.

Two minutes later they carried a young female fan out of the stands. She seemingly passed out. I hope and pray it’s not worse. I mean she was out and they carried her out ASAP. No trying to anything. Man I hope that kid is ok. Just bizarre.

NSFW Watch at your own risk. ⚠️

Not sure what happened here:

They're having an embarrassing year considering the expectations. And I'm lapping it up like a cat when the milk falls on the floor.

That Duke stuff was wild watching it life. Just dragged the girl out.
Someone online suggested she was drunk. I hope that’s all it was. She did not look conscious. Weird like you said, just dragged her out of there. No medical assistance I know encourages flipping her on his shoulder and carrying someone out. It was crazy looking.
