And his coach is the first stud recruit I remember coming out of Mount St. Michaels, and former Pitt guard.
My alma mater! When I was there the team name was “The Little Flowers” and there was a little flower patch on the uniform. And there was no one on the team like this kid, not even close.Hard not to root for a local kid like this

Watching Tenn vs Kentucky . 2 great teams . How did Zakai Ziegler from Long Island never get a look from CMA and staff . ?My alma mater! He’s in a terrible position. Their center is very talented and they have a stretch 4, Jamison Battle, that shoots the lights out and isn’t quick enough to play the 3. He’s essentially their backup center.Zed Key with 3 minutes played in Ohio State's loss to Iowa tonight. Consensus among Ohio State internet people seems to be that is he's regressed bigtime (some blame on Holtmann for that) and can't play in that league right now. His on/off splits are pretty rough too

It was a mistake for him to return once Jamison Battle transferred in. Battle started 2 years at GW and 2 years at Minnesota.
Article about local Mike O’Connell who transferred to NC State & JPM114’s comment about him below that he sent to me last night;
“Thank you for sharing this. It is my thought that one of the biggest mistakes made by St. John's this summer was not getting a second PG who would be prepared to push Jenkins off the ball at times. A big part of why they struggle is that he has so much to do it takes a toll and teams are able to defend him with more than one. People get so focused on what Joel is doing or not doing but college basketball is controlled by the guards and really all levels of basketball is controlled by the guards.”
“Someone like Mike could've helped them. He would have been a better choice as a backup PG than Wilcher who will be a nice player but is more of a combo guard”
I think you bring him in as a guy that can provide complete insurance at the 4 and 5 spots and nothing more.From the OSU site:
I think he can give us close to that if he's healthy. But I can certainly see the concern if we brought him in as a starter after seeing what's going on with him this season.
- Was playing like one of the top centers in the Big Ten prior to his injury as he was averaging 13.4 points and 8.4 rebounds while shooting 63.5 percent from the floor before Jan. 5
Dayton info would be above my pay grade, but I think Rutgers big is super realistic.I think you bring him in as a guy that can provide complete insurance at the 4 and 5 spots and nothing more.
Zuby should be much improved but will still have questions to answer and won’t be a guy that can give 30 minutes every night.
I’d prefer we bring in the Dayton or Rutgers centers if either is realistic.
Who are you speaking of?Based on the Matt A. connection, if he decides to transfer and not play a 5th year there, I'd be shocked if we don't get him.
