I heard Pace wants to schedule them next Season for a real game , not Exhibition .Louisville was ranked #314 in NET last year and only won 4 games. I'm not even sure if Payne makes it to January.
Their fans really miss Pitino.
Realize all these rankings are somewhat meaningless until the games are played (after all UNC was #1 preseason last year) but couldn't help but notice that assuming we play Houston, we would be favored in 22 of the 31 regular season games we play based on these preseason rankings which dovetails with my prediction that we finish regular season 22-9. Stupid I know, but always fun to look at these preseason numbers.SI ranks all the D1 teams, from 1-362:
Big East:
#6 Uconn
#7 Marquette
#11 Creighton
#13 Villanova
#23 ST. JOHN'S
#35 Providence
#56 Xavier
#65 Seton Hall
#94 Butler
#124 Georgetown
#163 DePaul
Non-conference (both guaranteed and possible opponents):
#8 Houston
#53 Michigan
#58 Dayton
#69 West Virginia
#72 LSU
#73 Wake Forest
#79 Utah
#81 Boston College
#101 North Texas
#122 Fordham
#129 Hofstra
#181 Towson
#263 Stony Brook
#270 Holy Cross
#280 Sacred Heart
Great player and one of my favorite UNC guys over the years. Averaged 19 ppg over 15 year NBA career and shot over 50% from the field and 85% from the line. RIP Walter.Former UNC and NBA star Walter Davis passed away at 69. Very good and exciting player. RIP.
Ex-Suns star, UNC great Walter Davis dies at 69

Three Things To Watch On Opening Night
We’re three days away from the start of the college basketball season. Here are three things we’re watching for on opening night. 1. The Overcorrection On Charges One of the biggest changes made this off-season was the block/charge rule and things will look a lot different when you see this one...burnerball.com
Watch video of basketball in the 70’s. Only time a player hit the floor was diving for a loose ball there was no trying to draw a charge. Duke coach K and Shane Battier basically brought it into the game.Hopefully the new rule eliminates the off ball defender sliding over to stand like a statue hoping to get bowled over; many may disagree but I never felt a team should be awarded for (my opinion), a non-basketball play.
No, but the they will still be considered with the same first letter as “flop” and ending with a “u.”Well, I guess Duke will no longer be "Flop U".
