Interesting article (op-ed/hypothesis) but does anyone really see ND coming back to the Big East ?The below article is written from a UMiami perspective by an IP litigation attorney provides 3 paths which FSU and Clemson may take to attempt to defeat the ACC GORs which could set off a chain reaction within the ACC.
How Miami Could (and FSU Probably Will) Leave the ACC
Long story short - it’ll be expensive, but probably worth itwww.stateoftheu.com
yes. it can.Interesting article (op-ed/hypothesis) but does anyone really see ND coming back to the Big East ?
That’s the thing with the ACC, there are three groups with wildly different interests.ACC should first have asked for a show of hands who would leave if they were granted immediate release, and then excluded them from the vote.
If Rutgers is operating this deeply in the red, UConn will have it worse.Great article in The Athletic this week on Rutgers' futility since moving to the Big10.
"Rutgers’ time in the Big Ten has been a competitive and financial nightmare, compounded by a few salacious scandals. Entering its 10th season in the conference, the football team has gone 13-66 in league play. Meanwhile, despite astronomical increases in shared Big Ten revenue, the athletic department has racked up more than $250 million in debt...."

I hit like first but my second reaction was the love like and my third reaction was the lol likeIf Rutgers is operating this deeply in the red, UConn will have it worse.
I think they would require more initial money to invest in its football program, while pouring money frequently for upgrades.
I am all for UConn taking on that challenge.
Not that there is anything wrong with that.I hit like first but my second reaction was the love like and my third reaction was the lol like
Just wanted you to know I would have hit 3 for you in a manly way of course
You should get many karma increases for your concise paragraphing. Not that there is anything wrong with that.

mjmaherjr feels a lot less guilty about his ice cream craving the last 2 weeksGood article about the out-of control spending at Rutgers. Here is one exerpt:
For more than a year, Rutgers University football players enjoyed a pricey perk that few other students had access to — free DoorDash food deliveries from restaurants, convenience stores and pharmacies, paid for by the university, and ultimately by taxpayers and students. And the costs piled up.
Football players ordered more than $450,000 through DoorDash from May 2021 through June of this year, according to a review of invoices and other documents obtained by NorthJersey.com. While Rutgers intended the service to provide players up to five meals for a total of $75 per week, some players rang up daily totals of $100 or more, some topping $200. One player placed three orders in Chicago on a single day totaling $200 after Rutgers had completed its football season.
Rutgers athletics spends big — and builds big debt — to stay competitive in the Big Ten

Reminds me of the "old" days on how athletes could "earn a little extra cash". I was seening a girl in the DC area and stayed in Gtown dorms with a friend. When we had a meal in the cafeteria you would have to pay but the Basketball players had meals included with scholarships so they would load up a tray and they sell off to other students and then go backand load up again and repeat the monetary exchange. For one knows, the RU folks could be getting a little extra spending money by selling off the orders.Good article about the out-of control spending at Rutgers. Here is one exerpt:
