All Realignment Talk Here

Oh the irony. Big XXII commissioner Brett Yormark publicly lobbied to member presidents for UConn and Gonzaga to join the league.
In the last 24 hours, bottom feeders Colorado (picked 15th in conference) and West Virginia (picked 13th) shocks #2 UConn and #3 Gonzaga respectively.

If the ACC is solidified and/or we aren’t a viable option for any of their schools, I’d be in support of Dayton, VCU and Memphis, and can be convinced of St Louis.

But for the semi-realistic options (some of it requiring us to bring back football), it would be something like:

Duke
------
Syracuse
Pittsburgh
Notre Dame
Louisville
Dayton
Wake Forest
Boston College
Virginia Tech
------
SMU
Memphis
VCU

------
St. Louis
Loyola-Chicago

I'm obviously assuming these schools would have no interest: UNC, UVA, Virginia Tech, Georgia Tech, Clemson, Miami, Cal, Stanford, Florida State, NC State.

With Rick mentioning those teams... he is most likely aware of whats "realistic"...

The Pipe dream would be to get some ADs to separate Basketball from all other sports (football). In that dream I would want: Duke / Pitt / BC / Cuse / ND / Wake / Louisville / Dayton.... all private schools - fit the mold-ish of current BE teams...

Now- if we need to expand for survival purposes- what's realistic... that doesn't marginalize us totally... Dayton - VCU ? Can we convince ND to comeback to the Catholics?

Gonna be a tough one...
