Uhgggg! I honestly don't know enough about the process to point fingers. However, the chronic issues are extremely frustrating and an embarrassment to the program.

Not to mention, the timing of this is awful
 
This fu--kin program is snake bit! Never seems to end! Do these coaches perform any due diligence when they are recruiting a student?

Kind of bogus to clear a kid, and then take it back.

Time to call the lawyers. Unless there is video surveillance of him cheating or a 5'10 guy taking the test for him, how can they say he didn't just achieve the score on his own?
 
@NYPost_Brazille: When Adonis DeLaRosa didn't play in #sjubb exhibition opener, Steve Lavin said it wasn't an eligibility issue. That changed recently.

What a sc*mbag. And the timing...two days before Briscoe is set to announce. That can't be a coincidence. Time for this guy to pack his stuff and go.
 
Any way you slice it this is a huge hit to the program. Yes we have egg on our face because the compliance people are not capable of doing their jobs, but with Thomas not being eligible we were expecting this kid to log minutes. Doesn't matter if he was in shape outta shape ready not ready he was gonna be a. Piece to the puzzle this year. Another unmitigated disaster.
 
How does this happen......twice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Is the NCAA clearance dept incompetent? Is our staff turning a blind eye out of desperation? WTF is going on? I said it when Thomas was declared ineligible and I'll say it again, regardless of how or why this happened, this reflects extremely poorly on our program.

If he was a top 50 player then you take a chance on him. If he's a marginal talent then you pass. The coach should no if the kids he's recruiting will qualify.

Really sucks man. Showed some talent on Saturday, and stamina was only going to get better and the season went on...
 
heavy sigh. it really makes it hard sometimes to get excited about the program. it always feels like there is something bad lurking around the corner.
 
Why does this stuff never happen at Cuse or UConn where they have loads of kids that don't graduate and don't attend class?

Jack, let's not pretend this is the first time it's happened under Lavin's watch. Sampson, Pelle, and Garrett in 2011. Wood and Sanchez in 2012. Issues with Jordan last year. And now KT and ADR this year. I know we're all in a good mood because of recent events with IB, but all of these transcript and academic issues are becoming a real black eye for the program. The staff either needs to clean it up or get the hell out of here.
