I get it is summer but some of you need to come down off the ledge. Better way to spend the down time would be to maybe find out who is in charge of eligibility cases for the NCAA and maybe kidnap their dog or something. Leverage that for Heron's eligibility. Mike Zaun should head that project up. Any volunteers should reach out to him.
How many have made it with one junior assistant coach doing 100% of the program's recruiting?
No idea.
But here is thing. We have to come to the crossroads. With Heron need to be top 25 team no lower than a 5 seed in tourney and maybe win a game.
W/o Heron need to be a bubble team.
If neither of those scenarios play out Mullin should and probably will be gone. And I am a Mullin guy. So for me who the assistants are or aren't is pretty low on my angst level for the program.
That's fair. But in second scenario where we're on the bubble, how do you take the next step after that? Have to keep growing and this would have been one way to do that. This current model is not sustainable. It's just way too competitive out there. By the way, I'd put the likelihood of our successfully navigating the waiver process and getting Heron into uniform next year at about 5%. They are very hard to obtain - is there anything that would suggest that this program, which seems to trip over itself on a near daily basis, will obtain one? Seems extraordinarily unlikely to me.
