I've been very harsh on Hooper, but also wouldn't relegate him to the scrap heap. He can be effective in spot minutes, but he must fill it up quickly to stay on the floor. Needless to say, he won't see late game action in tight games. Essentially, what we can pin on Lavin is giving Hooper a shot to seal the deal vs. Providence (worst loss of the past 4 years easily), or to make the game winning shot vs. DePaul (tough situation, but hey shooters are supposed to make wide open shots).

In the last 7 games Hooper has played a total of 26 minutes including 3 DNPs. His only game with double digit minutes was a loss. Coincide? I think not. We are winning games because we are longer and more athletic. He might have a role in future years, but right now we are better with the shorter bench and him not getting minutes.

You can add the 18 mins Hooper played in the Nova game- a tight game we had a shot at winning- where he went 1 for 5.

I live upstate and have tickets so I'm not sure how I'm gonna get there. Hopefully the storm stops before 7.

Is anyone planning to go to this game?? I really want to go and am willing to trek through the snow to take the train back and forth. My only worry is that NJ Transit will stop running and I'd be stuck in Newark.

The Hall with 17 turnovers in loss tonight. If we get anywhere close to that we should win handily. They will be up for us though so we better bring it from the opening tip or we can get our butts kicked.
