The bottom line is we just can't shoot the ball. You can't win if you can't shoot unless you are playing teams who are inferior athletically by a lot. We had much better shooters last year. I give up, it's a fate worse than death to be a St. John's fan.

The announcers are hammering our half court deficiencies. Unfortunately they are 100% right.

On the schedule: we scheduled Syracuse, Temple and FSU as well as ISU. It's just bad luck that the first three are all terrible.

Did a St. John's alumni sleep with this announcers wife or something? It's one thing to call the game and point out a team is struggling, it's another to say they have no skill. "If they are not throwing lobs and dunks they don't know who they are, they don't really have any skill." That's pretty harsh.

No, the guy was still sliding. The NCAA put emphasis on not calling as many charges a couple years back to allow freedom of movement and protect offensive players, for it to be a charge the guy has got to be there and established without a doubt. If he's sliding or moving in any way it's suppose to be called a block.
90% of refs call that one a charge and that would almost certainly would have been a charge if not for the fact they know they botched the Mathis one
