It was funny to me the same people that was complaining about the sloppy start and how bad the offense looked, then when they started to score they went into full defense mode of the refs terrible call that would have cut the lead to 7.

No real defending CMA half court offense, it was gross all half, but in that instance we had no timeout to use and they went into a 1-3-1 for the first time. With only 8 seconds left it was a smart move by isu.

Maybe had a play prepared for man to man and didn’t have time to reset against the 1-3-1 with 8 seconds left. You have time for 1 pass in that situation.

The problem isn't Joel. It's that we can't hit a shot, so the defense can just collapse on him. Nothing available down low.

No, the guy was still sliding. The NCAA put emphasis on not calling as many charges a couple years back to allow freedom of movement and protect offensive players, for it to be a charge the guy has got to be there and established without a doubt. If he's sliding or moving in any way it's suppose to be called a block.

Let’s face it, we are in for a rough season in conference also. Creighton, UConn , Villanova and Xavier clearly better teams and Marquette and at least Butler clearly have better coaches.
