Does Pitino feel the same way about Lefty? The reason why I'm asking is we are down a guard (Smith) and Lefty is a 6'4" 200 pound guard. His shooting stats, albeit limited, are not terrible. Pitino thought he was a good player in Greece and he was named to a first team All-Tournament Team in Europe. He's almost got one full year under Pitino's coaching at St. John's. He passes my eye test whereas I've never said to myself this kid is not ready to play in the Big East get him the hell out of the game. I don't remember him turning the ball over or screwing up on defense in a glaring manner. I do remember him hitting a couple of three point shots.Rick has expressed his concern that Glover has not yet evidenced enough defensive ability and discipline I recall. Rick’s practices are detail oriented especially re the defense. Not using that time productively has no upside. Hopefully Glover gets that, as Rick justifiably has very little tolerance for free lancing and not embracing game plan and practice details.
So I agree with some of the other posters on this site with Smith out and with having a short bench, why doesn't Lefty get more playing time?
