2024-25 Season

so for the next month or so- rotation:
Bigs: Zuby / Vince / Prey
Wings: RJ / Scott / Ayo
Guards: KR / Smith / Sim / Jaiden

See: Zuby/RJ/Scott/KR/Smith/Sim eating close to 170 of the 200 mins...

I really see our only trouble being if Zuby gets into Foul trouble....

That or an injury to any of the top 6.

My only concern is if a team is on a hot streak from 3, and we simply can't buy a bucket from there.

We have seen that our D has the capability of taking that away. We have the players that can guard and take that threat away - just about effort.

There will be "off" nights from the field... happens.... but I am confident our D can keep us in on those nights.

That and our rebounding will be a huge advantage against most teams.

It will always be a challenge for Brady to defend big east caliber ball players because of their quickness. To attempt that with a hip problem seems a major challenge.
A six week break is no doubt not what he was hoping for but if he can get healthy with the hip and hand and come back early Feb may be what he needed.

Think Jaiden is getting his minutes up in the wing category but I agree

Between the draft being a generational one + NIL money surpassing nba draft money, I think we will see guys like Luis stay longer than we would expect.

Honestly, more worried about Zuby. Think of all the big men around the country who were flat out overpaid.

Hopefully our success this year motivates others to further invest in the program + shows the potential we have with consistent funding. NIL event in Vegas will also be really helpful
I think RJ will return to college. Not much appeal in being a second round pick. Will we retain him is a better question.

Zuby I believe will stay. He and his family are very appreciative of the love and support the fans have shown him, especially in the Bahamas.

Anything can happen though and all we can do is support the players and continue helping the NIL efforts

Glover is in a much better situation than Sim last year. There's no scenario where he should be a primary ball handler or will be the most athletic defender on the court. I expect him to hit some 3s and show flashes of raw offensive skill. But I also think he'll make a couple of stupid turnovers & plenty of missed defensive assignments. Everyone should be ready for Ayo playing 10-12 minutes per game.
Ayo? I'll pass.

I have a better "gut" feeling about Zuby more than RJ in regards to staying...

While Captain of the RJ hype train... the depth of serviceable Wing is much better than Bigs in the Portal... So even I would place Zuby Priority 1A and RJ 1B

I don’t see that. I expect more three guard lineups and more of RJ at the three and Scott at the four. And a little Prey/Zuby at the same time against bigger frontlines.

The final score was partly responsible but last game Scott played 20 minutes and RJ played 21. And Brady didn’t even play much. I think Brady’s minutes can easily be distributed amongst the rotation guys.

I’m not sure a senior RJ can be replaced. He’s so good now. He’s a two-way player and he hustles his arse off. He scores every way imaginable.

I’m so impressed with that kid right now.

Not having to handle the ball is big. He just has to slow the game down and he’ll be fine. There is no way to predict when that will happen. If it’s this year, we get a helluva boost.

Huge minutes from our top 6 with Prey getting a step up is what I envision.

Prey’s perimeter play is a real weapon.

I'd be happy with this box score's minutes distribution (edit), although I do think Kadary's minutes being closer to 30 would be better.
