Almost all of the results today haven't helped, for example #6 Florida upset #1 Auburn.

But here's a big one: #5 Houston just lost at a terrible Colorado team and has now lost 2/3. I think we'll pass them.

From what I can see Houston won that game 69-59.

Yeah my mistake, couldn't remove the message fast enough lol. Colorado almost pulled it off.

All of the results today have made it more difficult for us to move up, even #6 Florida upset #1 Auburn. Top 5 is unlikely now for Monday, but I think likely for the following Monday if we can go 2-0 @ Nova and beat a newly ranked Creighton team.

In the pod system currently in place, 1st and 2nd round sites are not locked into any particular regional site.

Those seeds and locations are not bracketed just this projection. Pods for the first two rounds are assigned geographically to the higher seeds preference. Bracket will be filled out by "balanced seeding". Providence? Newark could definitely happen particularly if two seed or higher.

Now what means more are the wins, winning the regular season title, winning the BET and most importantly putting in a good showing in the NCAA tournament. We will remember a Sweet Sixteen or better a lot longer than what our ranking was on 2/10/25.

It’s nice to not play and have your resume still improve. Quite a few of the teams we beat in the non con that struggled are really turning things around most notably K state, New Mexico and Virginia (to a lesser extent). We even have some low majors like Bryant playing really well.

If Bama holds on here I think we see SEC taking top 4 spots in next poll. At worst four of top 5.

10. Texas Tech if they win tonight.

Houston and Purdue get a bit of the shaft but there's only so much voters could allow themselves to drop Duke.

One of the reasons the AP Poll should either be abolished or finally fully perceived as the joke that it is, is because for some reason it matters when teams lose. If Auburn had lost last Saturday instead of today then they'd be number 1 again this Monday. But since it was today they'll automatically drop a spot or two even though they are clearly still deserving of being number 1.
