2024-25 Rankings

Top 10, and our highest ranking since at least 2000, will 100% happen. #11 Marquette and #9 Michigan St losing guaranteed us a Top 10 spot, and no team will pass us. Only question is whether we'll be #8? #6? Possibly #5?

I'm thinking #5-7 are most likely for now, but we'll have a much better idea by the end of Saturday. Who's playing today? #1, #2, #3, #4, #5, #6, #8, #9, #10, #11. Every team ahead of us besides #7 Purdue. Best week for Johnnies fans in a quarter century, and a fantastic weekend of hoops still to come!

It’s tough to jump teams that haven’t lost, even if we deserve it after beating two top 25 teams. That just seem to be the way they vote. #8, 9, and 11 have losses this week. #9 seems most realistic. #8 if they vote us over A&M, who hasn’t lost, but hasn’t played yet this week. We’ll see. There is still a lot of basketball to be played this week, and this season. Just keep winning!

Net jumps from 23 to 19 but as I’ve always said I’m looking at the BE table above all else. At 2/3 through the BE season you can’t put yourself in a better position.

Let’s finish the job and win the regular season and then do the double and win it at all MSG gents!! This program has always been a sleeping giant and it only took one of, if not the greatest coach of all time to come here and awaken that beast!!

Jon's right.

Going to fact check Jon here.

East Regional site is Newark.
But the first/second round sites are: Raleigh (1 vs 16, 8 vs 9), Seattle (5 vs 12, 3 vs 13), Denver (6 vs 11, 3 vs 14), Cleveland (7 vs 10, 2 vs. 15)

Providence first/second round games means you're in the West (San Francisco) or South (Atlanta), but those are only the 4/13 and 5/12 games.

So I'd rather go for the two seed and play in Cleveland or Denver.

can we get there as a 2 seed? or we need the 1?
Top 16! So all the 1-4 seeds get ranked on geographic preference. However, say we are the last 4 seed and there is another East region team that is a 4 seed like Maryland or maybe even Florida for example then they could take it and we would get the West region if that’s what it is left over. Good news is that East coast basketball is not that good this year between the Big East and ACC so we should get the East region if we get a top 16 seed unless we are in the same seed line as Duke.

Games to watch to see if we can gain ground on:
12 PM: #9 Michigan St vs. Oregon
12 PM: #8 Iowa St vs TCU
12PM: #4 Tennessee @ Oklahoma
3:30 PM: #10 Texas A&M @ #15 Mizzou
4PM: #6 Florida @ #1 Auburn
4PM: #5 Houston @ Colorado
6:30 PM: #2 Duke @ Clemson
8:30 PM: #3 Alabama @ Arkansas

Where do you see the subregional games for Providence being in the West region?
