2024-25 Rankings

#32

That’s right, our beloved St.J’s beat Georgetown and fell 4 spots from #28 to #32

I’m not surprised. It was a Q2 win and we underperformed. I’m not sure why people were talking last night like this solidified our resume in any serious way. It’s a good W but we’ve got a long ways to go

Solidified our resume? A long way to go for what? We’re 15-3 (6-1), ranked 26 in both polls and you act like we’re a bubble team. It’s mid-January, not mid-March and last I checked there’s 13 game left. If the season ended right now (which it doesn’t) we’d be safely in the field.

Bracketmatrix average has us as an eighth seed. We’re definitely in if it ended today but we need to stack wins against Marq/UConn/Creighton to be safely in and hopefully much higher seeded. If we’re 0-6 against then, we’re a bubble team.

As I said before, i think we will be fine. But you sound like Mike Anderson touting the total record without context. Big east is down. These games are fine but February is going to be monumentally important. Getting into it with a 9-1 BE buffer would be great.

I just hope when the season is done we make the CBI 🙄

These are the red flags on our resume. Its a shame that the OOC schedule is out of the player's control, they deserve better.

I'm not pessimistic about this team. I think we go 3-2 against Marq/UConn/Creighton in February, beat DePaul/Butler and 1 of Nova or Georgetown on the road, and hold serve at home.

But there's work to be done.
