2023-2024 Schedule

last season the Johnnies games were syndicated and carried on Tunein Radio.

My concern there is that SJU may get bumped to radio purgatory because ESPN has so many other programming that would take precedence.
Your not wrong but they will probably put it on a another station if theres a conflict.

Understand that. But the spillover station is more often the problem.

But then again, they may get lucky because other than the Jets, I am unaware of other conflicts.

Tidbit there is closed door scrimmage against Rutgers Oct 21.

Man, even the scrimmages are a major step up. Two years ago we played A10's Rhode Island (and lost), and last year we didn't even play anyone. We really started avoiding competition, even preseason, and it cost the team and program. I'm already looking forward to what leaks about our game against Rutgers, just over two months away.

Don’t understand why the NCAA only allows for closed door scrimmages vs D1 opponents. Why not sell tickets and donate to charity?
Makes too much sense.

Actually we did play a charity game vs RU back in 2017 at the RAC.

I’m sure coaches are the ones who prefer it closed doors. They could experiment, try new things, have zero outside pressure, etc
What like playing in their underwear? JK. Would still rather money that could go to cancer research or something. Coaches can do what they want fans knowing it’s a scrimmage. Football does pre season intra squad scrimmage and sells tickets and donates to charity.

I paid 67 per ticket in row 5 of the corner section very close to sju bench. Nect level up was about $37. Pretty large # of seats reserved for st johns so you should use the links. The $170 tix are lower bowl facing the court. I paid $30 additional not to worry about sneaking lower, and still be in sju section.

We haven't seen the big east portion of the schedule yet, but when was the last time we played so few games in a season at Carnesecca Arena??
Under Lavin, we played 2 conference games at CA for three consecutive seasons.
2011-12 (Providence, DePaul)
2012-13 (DePaul, South Florida)
2013-14 (Providence, Seton Hall)

The energy Lavin’s first two years was amazing. Mullin had a big jolt in the beginning too. This coming season will likely be double or triple both. This will be the best time to be a fan since 2000.

But what about including the non conference portion? I was thinking total games there for the season.
