2022 Yankees

A team is not going to win in the post season without a closer. If they somehow beat Cleveland, their rotation will be a mess going against a fully rested Huston. It would probably be ugly.
Holmes was great first half but he still should have been in that game in the ninth

realistically Houston better. Losing to Cleveland Steinbrenner should start writing two exit tickets

Assume if Yanks are fortunate enough to win tonight, it will have to be German on the mound tomorrow in Game 5?

YANKEES:
Torres 2B
Judge RF
Rizzo 1B
Stanton DH
Donaldson 3B
Cabrera SS
Bader CF
Trevino C
Hicks LF

Cleveland:
Kwan LF
Rosario SS
Ramirez 3B
Naylor DH
Gonzalez RF
Gimenez 2B
Arias 1B
Hedges C
Straw CF

So Boone benches IKF after saying all season long that statistically he was a top fielding SS. Boone continues to make up stuff as he goes along. No doubt he should be fired, but of course, he won't. Not up to the job at all.

I've never been a fan of Boone, but he clearly needs to go if as is likely they fail to advance past Cleveland. In a way I almost hope that happens as I am sick of yearly under performance.

According to espn, tonight's probable starters - not exactly lights-out pitching this season from either:

Cleveland: Aaron Civale: had 20 starts this year, with a 4.92 era
Yankes: Taillon: 32 starts with a 3.91 era

I believe the Yanks have had huge success against him. Need to get an early lead because Cleveland has all their top relievers rested and ready to go. Suspect Francona will have a short leash, as will Boone.

Civale is no joke though. He struggled early which inflated his ERA.

Last 7 starts - 3-1. 3.23 ERA, 39 IP 42K 0.85 WHIP.

Benching IKF was a start. How about sitting Stanton down and giving Carpenter a shot at DH. Lefty hitter, short porch, and puts the ball in play more frequently.
