2022 Yankees

Gallo should never see the field again for the Yanks. Carpenter, Locastro, Florial and Andujar are all better options. So tired of Boone relishing his walks.

[/Right now Gallo is not a major league hitter!Does not even come close. Painful to watch!

Why would anyone trade for Gallo? They'll just release him.

Only way would be if the Yanks pay most of his remaining salary to get anything in return

Otherwise there will be ZERO takers

Montgomery can't get out of his own wy. 2 bunt singles to start, a leadoff walk for a 2nd run. Judge looks bored. How do you get doubled off on a ball hit that he should be looking right at? He had no where to go. And the Yanks, when they struggle, never hit with RISP. They let this Houston starter off the hook early.

Great job settling down by Montgomery. Why was IKF not in the starting lineup? Bad job by King. He has taken a step back from his early season effectiveness. Lots of empty at bats by the Yanks. Torres running out an 8th inning grounder was pathetic. I'm all for including him in a potential trade for Soto. Judge loked bored and uninterested.

With all the Yanks bravado, if they can't navigate the cheating Astros, they will not get out of the American League. On to game 2. I figure German will pitch OK, but give up 2 homers, and Yanks will lose another one.

As soon as Astros got lead off hitter on first in bottom of ninth I knew game was over. On the other hand if Yankees had bases loaded and no outs I wouldn’t have confidence they would score.

game 93. tough one run loss to a contender.
2 bunts and a seeing eye single was a difference in runs,
the yank sticks get a mere 4 singles and a dj getty.
cant gallo hire the cheaters bunting coach?
bases loaded, no outs, no runs.
why did $99 take that lead off first?
there was not going to be a triple steal.

Yankees, despite their great start, do not inspire confidence they can win it all. Still too many holes in their lineup and no real aces you can count on in big game situations.

Well, I was right about the 2 homers, but German's pitches are too flat over the middle of the plate. Torres seems to run OK when he homers, huh? You can see the difference in the way the Astros attack Judge and Stanton. With 2 strikes, the remaining pitches are always low and outside the strike zone, they expand and thry strike out. Meanwhile, two 0-2 pitches to Valdez and Bregman were left in thed middlle of the plate instead of throwing something in the dirt. Horrible execution. Meanwhile, aside from the 2 walkoff wins, the Yanks never had the lead in 7 games. Does not bode well.

And why did Alvarez even see a pitch to hit before his 2 run double? Houston stars showed up. Yanks (except for the late Judge homer) did not. Couldn't even get Stanton up with a 3-1 count on Carpenter, who hits into a weak game ending DP.
This team is certainly not playing inspiring baseball.

If the Yanks lose this game tonight, it's all on Boone. How do you not have a reliever up when Chapman is struggling? And then stay with him when he has nothing? Clueless Aaron.

King just went down. Does not look good. Great. Now we'll see even more of Chapman. This season seems to be unraveling before our eyes.
