2022 Mets

When you are starting your 3 best pitchers and arguably the best one-two punch in baseball you should be able to expect at least one gem!
Exactly …watched all 3 games. Expected at least one gem
degrom eh
43mil scherzer
then thought ok Basset will give a good game. Nope

Rain out tonight--just what we need, a doubleheader scheduled for tomorrow which in all liklihood will be cancelled. What next, tripleheader on Wednesday??? Will they make Mets play a doubleheader on Thursday and then have to play in wild card playoffs on Friday.

The weather today outside here is brutal. Unless, chilly, rainy and windy is your thing. We went from nice early September weather to mid November weather in a couple of days. Let’s hope Friday is better than this.

Bill, that's why I live in Florida year round. Upper 70's today. I went for a bike ride this morning and went to the beach this afternoon. The weather has been beautiful since Ian. BTW, I had no damage to my home and the electric went back on ten minutes after I returned. The milk in the fridge didn't even spoil. :giggle:

Ok 7-0 lead in the first.

I don't think a miracle is going to happen and we catch the Braves.

But 100 wins is something special no matter where you finish in the division. Only the 4th time in franchise history: 69, 86, 88.

Plus McNeill going for the batting title.

Hard to be mad when your team wins 100 games. Although, as well as the Braves played, the Mets still blew a golden opportunity. Getting swept by the Cubs? Not able to win one (1!) game in Atlanta with deGrom, Scherzer and Bassit. Many other games we can point to.

All that being said, in the end the postseason is ALL that counts. Road just got tougher but the opportunity is still right there. Only one team is going to be “happy” at the end so why not us.
