Let's hope they got it right this time.
I really hope they got it right but, based upon our recent history of hiring first time coaches who failed miserably, I would have gone with Flores, a guy with proven successful experience as a head coach. But I understand Schoen's history with Daboll and obvious comfort level with him.
But Schoen may be the more important hire. Getting the right players is just as important. As a former coach myself, I always subscribed to the adage "you can't make chicken salad out of chicken $hit". Gettleman was an absolute disaster. Schoen has got to be better. And he came in at the right time, with 2 picks in the top 10 of the first round. Get it right, Joe!!! Giants fans are counting on you!!!
