2021-2022 Schedule

Indiana is now official for Nov. 17 per Zach B

There you go.  IU is not only a traditional Big 10 power they should be good next year.

Even if they are bad, I think seeing the Indiana name on the schedule does more for me than seeing UMBC or a school like that.

I think every team will have low majors on the schedule, but I only want ours from the Tri-State area.

The only thing I will add is the 2 best teams on the schedule had nothing to do with SJU scheduling. They were the result of something out of their control, Gavitt Games and Big12/BE Challenge.

Going forward I would like to see more challenging games and specifically better exempt exurney's.

I don't even think they were competitive when they had Alphonso Ford, so I imagine this will be a good opportunity to play 13 guys.

Jerry Rice still eligible there :)

MVSU coached by Lindsey Hunter, formerly of the Detroit Pistons, and a few other teams (but mostly the Pistons).

UNC just announced its OOC schedule of 12 games; will we be adding more games?

And as only 4 of UNC's games are from power 5 conferences--Purdue, Michigan, UCLA and Tennessee/Nova, I'd say our schedule with Indiana, Pitt and Kansas compares favorably.

Only Kansas compares to Purdue, Michigan, UCLA and Nova in the pre season rankings so I would say not so much.

I’m sure that I’m way too early on this one, but does anyone know when tickets will be put on sale to the public for this game?? We moved down to DC 6+ years ago, but looking very forward to heading up to Belmont for this one — it should be a really good game (although Remy Martin has given us fits over the past few years; during his days at ASU).

Perhaps we played Kansas more recently, but I recall two really tough losses to the Jayhawks:  (a) around ‘86, or ‘87!when Kevin Pritchard sank two foul shots with no time on the clock at MSG; and (b) pre-season NIT loss a couple of years later, when we lost to their Mark Randell led team, even though we were led by the immortal Boo Harvey (one of my all-time favorite Johnnies).

Go Johnnies, I have a really good feeling about this season!!

In the 1966–1967 season, we beat Kansa at Alumni Hall 68-44.  Unbelievable game.  We are 5-8 against them.

A fantasy question to ponder .. When we play the Jayhawks , Self disputes a Call and is ejected from the game .  Does Norn take over the Coaching or ,is it some  other Assistant Coach ?
