MBaldi, We lost to Kansas on 2/21/87 at 0.00 at MSG. I was at the game.

I can’t remember if was Pritchard who hit the FTs. I always “remember” it as Manning but, all these years you are probably right. I tried looking it up but beside the result, I couldn’t find the specifics.

I do remember being down after that one. Lot of Kansas fans and they had no idea. They were overconfident. They thought they were going to a blowout but it was a dogfight. We were ranked 20th at the time I think.

I was also at the upset of Kansas in 67 .Albie did a great job on Jo Jo  White .  it was not a close game and stands out as one of my favorite victories .

This is not surprising.  Kansas does not want to travel half way across the country to play in Long Island.  And the notion that this game isn’t included with our season tickets is ridiculous.

Understood but that was for COVID and obviously that could always play a factor.  But that is different.  What I am talking about is it is not going to get cancelled because an arena is being used on the proposed date.  They will simply re-arrange the venue/date etc to accommodate.

I think we lost a good game vs. Kansas after beating kentucky in  the year Omar was on the team. Kentucky fans left pissed on what could have been a tough call. Our big guy hit a couple of fouls to win it. I don't remember stuff real good.
