Couldn’t we have least done Manhattan , Fordham and Iona ? Of course , I believe JSJ innocent of any involvement .! Only a joke …
LOL !!! If I had any pull, I would have scheduled Monmouth since it's 20 minutes from my house
Go Johnnies !!!

You will have one Big East for Big 12 Challenge (or whatever it is called) and one in the Gavitt Games with the Big 12. Add the Pitt game and that's three games against other Big Six conferences. They are working on at least one more.
Unfortunately, Coach A has a history of soft non-conference scheduling. He prefers that his teams learn the system during the early parts of the year, especially when he has new/young teams.Adam post=434146 said:Last year our awful OOC kept us out of the Dance despite us going 7-1 with a winning conference record.
So far we don't have any respectable games on the schedule. Pitt will be like playing a mediocre mid-major as their NET will probably be around 200. Hopefully we have solid Big 12/10 opponents.
If we aren't in a tournament then we really need to schedule at least 2 other solid opponents.

I have to disagree here, the non-conference isn't what kept them out of the tournament, most teams had questionable non-conference slates just to fill games, a lot of teams didn't even get to play a full non-conference schedule. If UConn simply would have returned the home game instead of refusing to play it, a win there would have likely been enough to be on the right side of the bubble. UConn had a 33 NET, that would have been a Q2 win against a tournament team.Adam post=434146 said:Last year our awful OOC kept us out of the Dance despite us going 7-1 with a winning conference record.
