Source: Iona's Mo Thiam and Isaiah Washington have both received waivers from the NCAA and are eligible for the entire 2019-20 season.

Seems clear Dunn will get waiver

Knowing that we should have pursued Washington.

NCAA denies transfer waiver for Frankie Policelli, the former New Hartford basketball star who moved from Dayton to Stony Brook.

He will have to sit out the 2019-20 season.

Arbitrary decisions it seems.

Goodman;

Couple more transfer waivers approved. Detroit’s Miller (Lafayette) and St. Francis (Pa.) wing Ty Stewart (Binghamton).

New (unofficial) totals for transfer waivers:

Approved: 48
Denied: 8
Still waiting: 65

Lifted from an article on Frankie Policelli's waiver denial........

Policelli transferred from Dayton after one season with that Atlantic 10 program. He chose a school closer to Central New York home. Policelli is a triplet and is close with his family. One of his family members had been dealing with a medical issue.

Stony Brook petitioned the NCAA to permit Policelli to play this season, instead of having to sit out the year. The school and Policelli had been waiting for months to see how the NCAA would rule. Policelli traveled with his new teammates to Spain and France last summer during the same window as Syracuse’s basketball team journeyed to Italy.

Stony Brook athletic director Shawn Heilbron issued this statement about Policelli:

To say that we are disappointed that Frankie’s waiver request was denied would be an understatement. I’m frustrated because our contention was that the totality of circumstances regarding his transfer to Stony Brook should have allowed him to compete right away. Frankie is a tremendous young man who is an important part of our Stony Brook family. Although I strongly disagree with the decision, we will move forward and support him in every way possible.

To say the least.

Zach apparently said on twitter a couple hours ago that they can't participate unless they are ruled on today

The NCAA has denied a waiver request for Alabama guard Jahvon Quinerly, per release. School will appeal. Transfer from Villanova.

This kids college career has had quite a few twists and turns in it.

Not sure what the basis of the waiver would be here.

Now, I've heard it all; get extra consideration for a waiver if you've been part of a corruption probe!

The truth wouldn't have worked either: "I didn't want to work as hard as Jay Wright wanted me to, so I left."

Former SJU commit, Valdir Manuel, has committed to Penn St. He previously had also committed to Seton Hall and St. Joe's.

Columbia big man Patrick Tape will leave the team, graduate in the spring and transfer, source told @Stadium. Averaged 11.3 points and 5.9 boards per game last season.

6’10, 220

Interesting. Obviously because it is an Ivy League school he is not on scholarship thus the school has no leverage to force him to transfer at end of semester. So he obviously earned his way into Columbia on his own academic merits and thus wants that Columbia degree. But now if he is any good he can get a free year at a major college to play ball with a Columbia degree, not bad.

Columbia kid Tape played well against Northwestern, Rutgers & BC last year scoring in double figures in all 3 games.
So the season is going to start in a week and the kid quit the team
Funny, I thought Goodman's tweet was poorly written and 'assumed' he meant 'leave the team in the Spring and graduate'. The joke's on me but in addition to being disloyal and giving the guy a bad rep,, sitting out also damages his brand status as a grad transfer.
A bad decision on a few levels.
