2019 Transfers

Per Evan Daniels:

Source: KJ Feagin & Matthew Hauser are expected to transfer from Santa Clara. Feagin averaged 17.5 PPG during 2017-2018 season. Hauser went for 9.6 PPG that year.

Matthew Hauser to Marquette seems obvious to me
Saint Louis transfer Carte'Are Gordon has committed to DePaul
He is real good. Is strong and is physical. This is a nice get for DePaul.

I think we looked at Weathers if I recall correctly
Rothstein;
Oklahoma State has dismissed Michael Weathers, Maurice Calloo, and Kentrevious Jones due to a violation of team rules, per release.

Calloo too. I believe he had a visit set up and then was cancelled.

TCU’s Yuat Alok (3.3 ppg, 2.5 rpg) is transferring, source told @WatchStadium. Third reserve for the Horned Frogs to transfer at the break, joining Angus McWilliam and Kaden Archie (2.1 ppg, 1.5 rpg). Alok was a highly recruited kid coming out of junior college.
Daniels:

TCU's Jaylen Fisher is transferring from the program, a source confirms. Averaged 12.1 points, 2.7 assists & made 44% of his threes this season.

What’s going on at TCU?

Maybe they all think Jamie Dixon's going to UCLA.

This is the kid we need! #59 RSCI recruit, great experience and stats for good teams. He'll be an immediately eligible grad transfer I believe as well. I'd rather. It rely on just one of Mack or Fisher (has had injury issues), but both would be just what we need.

He's finishing the semester at TCU so he won't need a ship we don't have. Perfect fit.

Agree with Fran F, but then again coaches move all the time. Fran;

“This is the hardest time I’ve ever seen to build a basketball culture in a college program. It’s not longer about winning. It’s about keeping unhappy players from transferring. Sad to say but it’s the way most were raised.”

I am not sure if they will do it but the NCAA may need to create the basketball equivalent of the NCAA Football Portal. It has turned the transfer game in football into high stakes poker. No longer does a player need permission from the outgoing institution ie a release from his or her scholarship. Just enter your name in the NCAA portal, in essence a national database, and you are then free to contact or be contacted by any school. No permission needed.

Can you imagine the Basketball equivalent? Matty A wouldn't leave his desk/computer? LOL!

Do you know if that is recent for NCAAF or something that’s been the case for a while?

This is the first year for the Portal for college football.

You want crazy. Bru McCoy a 5 star recruit signed with USC in December in the early signing period. Also he graduated HS early and enrolled at USC for second semester. He just put his name in the Transfer Portal already. He just started classes. Looking potentially to transfer to Texas. But he may have screwed himself because he will now need to finish the semester at USC (too late to enroll elsewhere) and then transfer in May and then sit a year per rule assuming he does not get a waiver.

The eyes of Texas were on him but they came up with the $$ too late.

USC transfer Jordan Usher has committed to Georgia Tech,

Sense there could be another USC forward transfer to keep an eye on by season's end.
Wonder if he would reconsider us and vice versa.
I would take him in a second. We'd have some leverage on him and you'd think he'd come with a chip on his shoulder. Skilled kid and would look great in a small lineup fromtcourt with Tabor and Figueroa.

USC's four leading scorers are 6'11 Racocevoc, 6'10 Boatwright, 6'6 Porter Jr., and 6'7 Aaron. It makes perfect sense he's sitting.
Watched USC game last night. Brooks only played 7 mins. but he does look very athletic. I don’t recall him even touching the ball on offense. Did grab 3 boards.
He would have gotten 25-30 min. here, even if he wasn't ready for it.
I agree.
