According to JJ, SJU is out of scholarships? http://johnnyjungle.com/forum/index.php?topic=928.0

If I am reading the chart correctly, with the transfers already accepted, SJU needs to lose a team member, just to be in compliance. Assuming that Shamorie enters the draft, SJU will be in compliance. In order to accomodate, Kofi or Precious and any other high school seniors or transfers we wish for, another current teammate must leave. Nope, not going to speculate with actual names.

What worries me, is that if one of the current freshman leave, whether "encouraged" or not, competing coaches will be able to tell future recruits that Mullin doesn't play freshman, creating one more obstacle to getting five star high school seniors on campus. I suppose it is a wonderful thing to have to worry about such things....

1. The scholarship situation as described above is correct
2. If we ever recruited a 5 star HS player, he would not have to worry about playing time

Per Goodman

TCU big man Angus McWilliam is transferring, source told @watchstadium. McWilliam is from New Zealand.

Mullin can then show those recruits Ponds' stats as a freshman and the hardware he won. Lovett too. Ellison, Yankee...the list goes on.

Goodman
Florida 6-foot-9 sophomore forward Chase Johnson will transfer, source told @WatchStadium. West Virginia native who played sparingly in his time in Gainesville.

He is visiting Dayton today. His concussions sound like a major issue and potential career ending. His game would be well in Mullin's positionless system. He seems like a real athletic PF.

Sense J’raan Brooks who again just played a few minutes for USC yesterday is miserable & can’t be happy with Trojans brining in a few interior studs next season. One to keep an eye on perhaps.

Been thinking about him. Can't be happy, indeed.

But none of us can predict the future - decisions can take a twist for the better or worse.
Hope the kids who we do have continue to play hard. This is, after all, our best team under CM.
Seton Hall debacle is done but at least it answered whether we can only compete w cupcakes.
Have a safe night -
Especially w rain a coming.
Blessings.
And beat Marquette!

Per Goodman another one;
Oregon sophomore forward Abu Kigab told @WatchStadium that he will transfer. 6-foot-7 Canadian started four games this season for the Ducks.

I wonder if the staff views Canadian transfers differently from Canadian high schoolers?

Former SJU recruit from Marvin & Trimble’s AAU program, MOKAN, averting 9 & 4 rebounds & still gets antsy. Crazy!

Saint Louis freshman big man Carte’Are Gordon is expected to transfer, a source confirmed to NBCSports.com. The news was first reported by Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports.
