2019 Coaching Changes

WSU is tough because it's probably seen as a coach killer by young and mid-major guys, so you get retreads like Kent.

Probably takes a guy with super high X's and O's and balls big enough to bet on himself that it could lead to a $4 million gig elsewhere. They should go after someone like Oats to see what he says. Not sure WSU pays for buyouts like some other Pac-12 schools would.

Nebraska AD Bill Moos statement:

“We will await Sunday’s announcement to see if we receive an invitation to participate in the NIT. Once our season is completed, my evaluation of our men’s basketball program will draw to a close.”

Not exactly an endorsement of Miles staying. I think Hoiberg,as suggested by others, may be a good fit. Interesting if that happens.

With Billy Kennedy out at Texas A&M, multiple sources say Buzz Williams is the frontrunner/strong favorite for the job.

Texas roots
Marvin Menzies fired after three years.

His three years looking familiar
Thought I read earlier Pitino may be in play for this, would be perfect.

At very least, he will parlay this into a raise at VT.

Btw as a follow up Kennedy is a really good guy and highly thought of as a coach and recruiter. Make a nice #2 guy for a few years.

Rumors starting to swirl that Bill Self is going to leave Kansas at the end of this season, possibly taking the Bulls job. Things might start to get real ugly at Kansas if the FBI investigation yields results.

You're already going to have big jobs like Zona and LSU open most likely. In addition to UCLA. If Kansas opens with Zona and LSU all 3 will have clouds over them but still will be desirable and the jockey for coaches will be intense.

He'd better get extra glue for his rug if he moves to Chicago.

Put this in the college basketball thread.

Tulane has parted ways with Mike Dunleavy Sr
