2017 Transfers

It's official now. Kasongo got his release... No reason this staff shouldn't go after him.. I'd be disappointed if they didn't at least make contact... Big solid body that can run the floor and has good hands..

Makes a decent replacement for Williams and can't see many top programs where he would more playing time. Sitting on at least two scholarships with plenty available next year, unless he brings a bad attitude I don't see any downside.

Mat Shelton-Eide @MatSheltonEide

Assistants from these schools followed Dwight Coleby after transfer news broke: VCU, GW, DePaul, Seton Hall, SFA, Hampton. VCU 1st though!

Chris McManus @ChrisSHUhoops

Potential Angel Delgado replacement: 6-9 grad transfer PF from Kansas. 5.6 minutes per game after transferring in from Ole Miss #shbb

Someone lose their cell phone? ;) :)

Potential Angel Delgado replacement:

How about "Potential gaping hole in the middle of our defense filler" ...?
It's getting late early around here. Almost time to scour Marillac cafeteria for some walk-ons with a little height and or weight.

we are all old and wise around here with our recruiting woes, now its bordering on disbelief and being disgruntle. Do we have anything in the horizon that leaves us with some added hope for the 2017 class?

Waiting for these decisions is like waiting for the Bataan death march to finish..

Me, if we don't sign Wilson.......

Ouch!!!

Could some one help and others understand what the rational for not chasing an immediately eligible transfer? I started a list below, but so far the cons don't seem compelling.

Cons: 1) A new transfer potentially takes away developmental minutes from other players.
2) A transfer may be looking to showcase his skills even at the cost of the team's performance.
3) I suppose if the transfer was eligible for multiple years, he might discourage future recruits from committing.
4) The transfer may disrupt the existing team chemistry and could constitute a "bad seed".

That's all I got and it's not compelling...

I'll be on the ledge with you. Race to the bottom :)

You are trying to fix the race Mike!
You have the advantage of aerodynamic drag, since yoy have a comparatively large surface area being so tall! ;)
Come to think of it, since we need a big, do you have any eligibility left?

If we go with this roster without adding anyone and we lose one, just one player to injury, suspension, mid season transfer ( I know its hard to believe any of these can happen to us- wink wink ), I will be screaming from my seats letting the staff know that they COULD HAVE prepared for this situation during the off season.
