That is really surprising. I think he is a really good player. I would have thought he would have gotten a lot more playing time next year. Wonder if he shows up at Villanova.

I'd like him a lot better in a red and white uniform

I would expect him to look for a top academic school but who knows.

Maybe he hooks up with his Iona buddy at Virginia
Edit- Not if they play in same conference, brain lock.

St John's is not a top academic school?
Maybe it's time to take my two framed degrees off the wall
I thought they were impressive .... Maybe I was wrong :(

I think St. John's is a great school for whatever it is worth.

If u r doing ok financially it is impressive!
But as per transfer all our current players with the exception of the walk ons are listed as athlete administration majors which doesn't smell right.

They all plan on being professional basketball players.
Big mistake not to have a backup plan imo

The NCAA tournament has shown the value that both, 5 year grad transfers and regular transfers can have on a Team's success.

Plus, it highlights the benefits of having a lot of upper classmen in your line up.. Unless you are Kentucky., Duke, etc

And, as mentioned here, innumerable times, our most glaring need is a big man that can contribute Scoring, Rebounding, etc, A lot of teams had big men from Europe, Australia, Africa.Gonzaga, Arizons, S Carolina , etc. Suggests that Recruiting those Areas is just as important as getting the 17 -18 year olds..

Some posts here already suggest we have prospects for the 5 yr Big Man we will desperately need next season.

For all the criticism college basketball players take for not being real students an awful lot of them seem to be going on to graduate school these days. ;)

why Ellison, does he feel he has been recruited over? I thought he had improved year over year.

Yeah he progressed from horrid to almost mediocre. Simon takes his spot, plus 20% of Fred's minutes team improves immeasurably.

Edit: Good kid though I am sure but don't care.
