2017-2018 Season

When is the last time SJU won a game that was played west of the Mississippi? Could be wrong on this, and granted the opportunity hasn't been many, but think the last may be winning the Alaska Shootout in 2010. Before that think you have to go back to @UCLA in 2003, and winning two games in the Alaska Shootout the season before that.

Earlier in 2010 lost @ St. Mary's, and later that season lost @ UCLA and vs. Gongaza in Denver in NCAAs. 2012 lost @ San Francisco. 2013 lost to Wisco in South Dakota. 0-4 @ Creighton in the new Big East. Not a big sample but hasn't been great of late. 1-9 in our last 10 if I captured it fully.

Moving up some 48 slots sounds like a significant jump. Wonder if it is the biggest move of all schools?

Apologies, meant to note I didn't count Chaminade as a result of their being D2 (I believe).

I don't think Georgetown is winning 6 games in conference.

I don't think Georgetown is winning 6 games in conference.

I also don't agree with a lot of the conference projections in terms of W/L and standings. I feel we will win more than 8 BE games and G'town/Depaul will have less wins. I also feel like SHU was low balled with just 10 BE wins.

To Jay credit, he did say last year that once our team figures it out in the middle of the season we would be a problem.

We weren’t elite, but we were way better during the Big East season than when we were losing to LIU, Deleware State and Penn State.

Although I don't agree with the SI ranking, its tough to get on the media outlets as we have underachieved for so long. Its a matter of what have you done to prove yourself lately. We just need 1 season to exceed expectations and the team core to return, then we'll get some recognition.
