2017-18 Transfers
Ponds’ backcourt mate
at Lincoln HS
.@Jeffbballbklyn alum Rasheem Dunn confirming on his Instagram that he’ll indeed be transferring from St. Francis BK, as @DalyDoseOfHoops first reported. Calls it one of the hardest decisions he’s ever had to make and says he has nothing but respect for the SFBK staff #BKsports
If it tricks Ponds into staying until his senior year so he could play with Dunn again, I'm all for it.

Memphis guard Jamal Johnson is transferring from the program, a source tells @247Sports. Johnson started for the Tigers and averaged 6.9 points a game.

Would love to get Lukas Kisunas, but sense competition fierce.
It’s a feeding-frenzy for this entire gamut of late-available players / prospects, regardless of the classifications.
And I would think that a good 2018 commit or a freshman—freed from a coaching change—would be much better for continuity in building our program.
Hoping we have enough ‘fishermen’ to reel some of these former commits/freshmen/transfers in.

Toledo sophomore guard Justin Roberts is transferring from the program, per a source. Roberts is the son of Kansas assistant Norm Roberts. Has two years of eligibility remaining.

Unless he is a 6'8 or above player who averaged double digits or the best guard on his team I don't care about transfers this summer. That list should be under 10 players. Hope that this will make it easier for the staff to digest.

When I posted the Verbal Commits list of transfers back in January, I think it had 35 names on it. The list has grown to 350 players. I suspect the pace will slow down now that the season is over. My guess, finishes up at around 400 transfers. http://www.verbalcommits.com/transfers/2018

I am not sure this player movement is good for college basketball. The transient nature of the team makes it difficult to identify with the players and team. We can no longer watch a kid develop. At best kids are on campus for four years, barring redshirt. The kids develop and leave, either transfer or turn pro.

USF's Troy Holston has a release & will transfer, per a source. Holston will graduate in May, be eligible right way & have two years of eligibility. Holston averaged 9.7 PPG during the 2016-2017 season. Sat out this past season with an injury.

California transfer Don Coleman tells ESPN he’s down to Georgia Tech, LSU, Georgia Southern, South Alabama, Nevada and Missouri State.

14.2 PPG as a junior, sit one play one.

That will certainly be a relief to the posters who were angry about him a couple weeks ago.
