Where do I sign?

Never developed in Austin. Bright kid who would do well to sit out at Georgetown or Vanderbilt to get a good education because seeing play next to Bamba it was evident the NBA is not in his future.

Ah, ‘72. Whatever is best for the guy’s future. Truly.
But 3 things: First, we’re not exactly dummies. Also, I’ve met, known, and interviewed more than a few ‘Ivy’ guys.
All were ‘smart’. Some excelled across the gamut, and some could drink one under the table. (A manly test.)
But, all in all, ‘success’ hinged on many variables—beyond one’s Alma Mater, and/or, how ‘smart’ somebody’s transcripts ‘evidenced’.
Plus, as I recall, many ‘Ivys’ conned us into the Nam Quagmire.
They may have been ‘clever’—but have proved to be among the dumbest ‘dummies’ in history.
If Mr. Banks decides to sign with St. John’s, so be it.
Let’s go Johnnies.

What is encouraging is starting to see some eligible bigs out there, between Trey Porter, Banks from Texas and a couple of others. C'mon Matt, let's go get a couple!

Porter is very intriguing & suspect in high demand

Not a transfer but Connor Vanover is available. Not sure if he's good enough but he sure is tall and supposedly can hit 3s.

After seeing a couple of youtube vids of this Vanover kid, I think the staff should definitely take a swing at him. Good mobility and skill for a 7-4 guy.

Javan White from Oral Roberts, he is a grad transfer with 2 years of eligibility left. 6'10"/230 averaged 10 and 9 this year. Looks like a late bloomer from Ames HS in Iowa so maybe Matt is aware of him from his ISU days; he would be perfect for us.

James Banks, 4*, transferrin from Texas.
Any news on this guy?

A 6’10, 230-pounder, Banks was recruited as a defender, rebounder, and rim protector with the hope that he would eventually emerge as a player with some type of offensive game. At Texas, that never happened for the former top-10 center nationally.

Ponds’ backcourt mate
at Lincoln HS
.@Jeffbballbklyn alum Rasheem Dunn confirming on his Instagram that he’ll indeed be transferring from St. Francis BK, as @DalyDoseOfHoops first reported. Calls it one of the hardest decisions he’s ever had to make and says he has nothing but respect for the SFBK staff #BKsports
