I'm good with a package deal if he brings his big man with him for a year.
People are making the fact that Tariq transferring is a Mullin problem. There seems to be little loyalty these days and transfers and decommits are reaching epidemic proportions. That said, although late in the year, there will be good opportunties to augment the roster.

Poor shooting %: 3pt @ 24%; 2pt range @36%. And a negative A/TO ratio. Seems like we don’t ‘need’ him. Why do we ‘want’ him? Color me baffled.

Head scratcher why this guy would be a priority over James Scott, Jr. unless Scott was interested.
maybe looking for someone who wont be a problem if we lose

Is Coleman a sit out transfer? Didn't he just complete his red shirt junior year with Cal?
Believe he came as a one year Juco & played two at Cal
The 5 th year Graduate Transfer Rule makes these Players Free Agents again . I’m not sure that is good policy for the NCAA . Players have free rein to transfer any place but, have the sit out 1 Year . Wouldn’t it be better for the Player to stay with the Program that invested Scholarship money from Day 1 ? I realize these players sat out a Year due to injury or just being Red Shirted and finished their School work and have graduated but, doesn’t loyalty work both ways ?
The only thing I can think of, is that this guy is buddies with JB. Obviously, not true, or n/m, as you social media gurus are fond of typing.
This one is a head-scratcher.

Coleman from Cal
Makes sense. The guy LJSA said was a bit of a negative at Cal.
If there is a bright side, Matt had a lot of reclamation projects at Iowa St. and they were all on their best behavior there as far as I can recall. He is tough, and can give double-digit scoring in the absence of Ponds until a hopefully better player arrives the following year.
