2017-18 Transfers

What do we know about Antun Maricevic, 6'10 Casper College?
I saw some video and he looks pretty good. Pretty, pretty good. :)

Grad transfer big is target not Juco

Dayton's Xeryius Williams will transfer, per release.

6'9" 205 lbs. Don't think he is the kind of grad transfer big we are looking for.

I think he is a Jr., not sure if he will graduate this year

Dumb question, but what’s the difference? Maricevic, a Croatian transplant, was a 2* out of a small CO HS, but even though highlights looks very tough in JUCO-land: 15pts/g, 7.8 rebounds / game, 67% FG%, 83% FT %. Looks like he has bulk and great post moves.
Being recruited by some mid-majors, but also Tulsa, Nebraska (who offered), BYU, and Wichita State.

Was a promising player under Archie Miller got buried on the bench as deep as Yakwe under new coach Anthony Grant and did absolutely nothing all year. Did have an injury issue earlier in the year though.

Grad transfer big is target not Juco[/quote] If we learned anything last year. It was not to put your eggs in 1 basket. Not a bad idea having a contingency plan.

Went back a second time to look at Maricevic’s highlights. Damn, he looks good. Just sayin’. Nebraska offered last November. Wichita State looking and Tulsa recently. Probably too late, but would luv for Staff to take a look.

Suspect they do.

Glad some guys know how to send links! Thanks man. This guy looks good to me.Looks quick for a big guy and aggressive. Sweet soft hook shot. 67% FG%, 83% FT%, 7.8 boards/ game. Nebraska, Wi hits State, Tulsa, BYU in the hunt..
Suspect it may be too late, but Staff should take a look.

He turns 21 in May, so he’s been around and his game looks mature. Funnny, an article from his HS days touts his 3pt accuracy—But seems he’s crashed the Boards in JUCO.

Iowa State sophomore guard Jakolby Long is transferring.

Rivals rated Jakolby Long as a 3 * two guard coming out of high school with a #131 national ranking. He was reported to be 6'6"/ 200 pounds.

At Iowa State this season he played less than 10 minutes per game while averaging 1. 9 points per game.

I’m sure Matt is on him if needs be, but begs the question: are Ponds and/or Trimble leaving? Guard depth is less an issue IF those two stay. Also, note that Trey McGowens still listed as a 2019 recruit. He may be an alternative (a long shot?) for next year, if Jalen Gaffney goes elsewhere.

Why would we be interested in a sit out transfer soph who averaged less than 2 points a game on a 13-18 team?

James Scott has his full release with no restrictions; early interest from Nevada, Dayton, Georgetown, Arizona and more

Heard SJU has no interest in James Scott’s son from NJ
