2015 Bracketology

lets just say i wouldnt be surprised if we didnt get a bid all together. we will see. If they do, these kids should play their hearts out and PLEASE PLEASE stop talking smack in the papers about how good everyone on the team is.

We're in, it's not even a need to worry. We were projected as a 7 seed prior to losing to top 25 RPI Providence. That won't bump us back 25 slots. Also the bubble is very soft and no teams are doing much to surpass us

I don't expect to get better than a 9 seed. I would prefer a 10 seed and don't mind an 11 as long as it is not a play in. Let the players get a chip on their shoulder.

I agree. I would prefer a 10 or an 11 seed vs. an 8 or 9. I have a horrible feeling we will be an 8 or 9 in the Kentucky bracket. Unfortunately, wishing for our players to have a "chip on their shoulder" doesn't necessarily translate into effort and wins. I was hoping the perceived Big East award snubs was enough to motivate the guys yesterday....

Does the score of the last two games cost us an invite to the NCAA's? I think we might fall into a play-in game.

Come on man. Think before you post. We are not falling to an 11 seed, which are the play in games. The whole regular season means more than 1 BET game.

why wouldn't we be an 11 seed? right now we are 42 in the RPI with a 20-11 record coming off 2 blowout losses. 11 seed is what we deserve

You want to wager on the 11 seed. I will take that bet in a NY minute.
And by the way we don't deserve an 11 seed. Two games don't make a season. Have to look at the big picture. 5 or 6 wins against the top 50, while most bubble teams have 1 or 2. Those are the 11 and 12 seeds, it does take a math major to figure this one out.
There are too many on here basing their analysis on their "flavor of the day" emotions.

Take a deep breath and enjoy Sunday for a change.

Im perfectly relaxed and will enjoy Sunday thank you. We deserve an 11 seed based on the "whole" season not the last 2 games. 42 or 44 RPI whichever youre looking at equals 11 seed and I'm fine with that. You don't win an award for a 9 seed so I don't know why there's the great desire to get it, personally I'd rather the 11 which gives us an easier path to the sweet 16

Too bad the seedings aren't based solely on RPI, we won't be getting an 11. Look at the current 11 seeds, we have significantly better resumes.

We were a 7 seed that lost to a 6 seed that we already beat twice. So we're going to drop to an 11 seed or better yet just hope that we still make the tourney? C'mon, the loss sucked but people need to get a hold of themselves.

People do realize by if some miracle we drop to an 11 we still won't be in a play in game. There are 2 11 seeded teams who won't be in a play in game. Just saying. IMO we will be a 9 seed maybe an 8 and maybe a 7.

People keep saying we deserve to be in a play in game. Where was this talk before the providence game? Everyone was in agreement a win moves us from a 7 to a 6. So a loss now moves us from a 7 to a 12? Jeez. Some of you don't know what you're talking about

Surprised by two things:
1. We dropped 9 spots to 44 rpi. NC State also lost and gained 3 spots (wtf?)
2. We're still a 7 seed. I was thinking 9.

Not surprised:
1. We are still in the tournament.
2. We aren't in the play in game

Overall I'd say good news.

*sigh*

Lunardi is not a seeds or region guy.

He's a computer guy. That's it.

He excels at picking the teams that will make it.

Yes, he may get a lot of seeds correct but the over analyzing of his brackets is so unnecessary.

Lunardi puts his money in Last 4 in First 4 Out.

The rest you can throw on a roulette wheel in Vegas.

Ncaa's updated RPI today- STJ 44

Their formula counted it as a home game. There is no other explanation. We were the away team for the game...different bench and locker room (assuming). Our season ticket-holders didn't get tickets...each school gets an equal amount of seats. This will have to be corrected.

Someone in the know needs to get on this or at least Tweet to a reporter. That if CRAZY the tournament counts as home for us. As if the preseason tournaments being home wasn't bad enough.

Then look at the consensus of projections from all of the "experts*. Jerry Palm had us around the same. The link Jack provided has us an 8
