36? I expected higher than that. Maybe because most our opponents lost yesterday (including the lower tier ones).
Gonzaga, Syracuse and St. Mary's certainly didn't help.

We've won 7 of 9 and it seems like our RPI has barely moved.
Fwiw, Gary Partish, who really liked SJU early in season, shows us a little respect in his top 25 plus 1;

Tough to move much at this point I the season
After our previous experience being ranked, I can live without it. In fact, I think the team plays better when they think they need respect.Fwiw, Gary Partish, who really liked SJU early in season, shows us a little respect in his top 25 plus 1;

I was waiting on this. Not that AP ranking really matters, but it would be cool to jump back in.
I don't think we will be in this week but we'll be getting votes. Obviously if we beat Nova and Marquette this week we'll be in next week, probably top 15-20.
What to watch for today. Going to start including teams close ahead up us for seeding purposes, as well as the bubble matchups which could push teams further behind us:
UConn over SMU 2 PM CBS
Wisconsin over Mich State 4 PM CBS
Stanford vs Oregon (toss up, both are on the bubble as 11 seeds in Bracketology) 7 PM FS1
Wake Forest Over Pitt 6:30 PM ESPNU
Ohio State Over Purdue 7:30 PM BTN
Washington State over UCLA 9:30 PM FS1
Also Providence is playing home vs Marquette. Has Big East tourney implications.
Sometimes I really don't get this RPI bs! I have seen teams with worse strength of schedules and a worse record be ranked significantly higher than the other team. If you have a worse record against worse teams how can you be ranked higher and I don't buy who you beat cause than you must have had some bad losses to offset.im sorry but how in the world does smu have an rpi of 17- 20 going into this UConn game....I don't get it...I look at their schedule and it makes no sense to me...ok they played at Gonzaga and Indiana...and lost both.....but what do I know....
Moving on up! Although I do not for the life of me understand how we are an 8 seed. IMO we should be a 7, and NO I don't think that's nitpicking

Our RPI on the NCAA site is mid 30's, so an 8 seed makes sense (8X4=32). Of course I hope we avoid the 8 seed when the actual bracket comes out. Playing Duke in Charlotte? What a joke.

I think our resume is way better than Xavier's because of our record against them. they are a fellow 8 seed. And I also think we have a better resume than Mich State and Ohio State who have 2 or 3 decent wins and that's it.
