.... when is the last time we got a Grad-transfer? Don't recall us getting many of these guns-for-hire.
Nick Rutherford
So a long time ago huh? :silly:
lol... i must be getting old quick...totally meant before this year... obviously...
Ron Mvouika 2015/16

DePaul guard Devin Gage is transferring, a source tells @247Sports. Gage has scored 516 points in his career. Graduate transfer.

Durand Johnson

He came from Pitt and I do think he was a grad transfer. He also lost a year, but I don't remember the reason.

Gotta hand it to CMA. When was the last time SJU didn't have a player transfer/leave the team mid-season? That's gotta count for something.

Are we in on any of these players?
Nothing yet
Hope they stay away from the sit out a year transfers. It can really hurt depth of roster. A few injuries during the season and you are really behind 8 ball from a depth perspective

Seems the staff likes jucos in their stead, and they don’t hurt roster depth.

I wonder if staff has any interest in grad transfer center Patrick Tape from Columbia, especially if we can't land Gray or another top HS big. Kid is 6'10 and 230 and seems to have a very efficient low post game. Scored between 13 and 18 points 4 games in a row against non conference opponents Rutgers, Northwestern, Iona & BC shooting 27-41 from the field in those 4 games. Could be he isn't quick/conditioned enough to succeed in CMA's system, I haven't seen him play.

A gem for someone;

Harvard guard and former top 100 recruit Bryce Aiken will graduate and transfer per Evan Daniels

Come to St. John’s; the Oxford of Jamaica, NY.

Evan Daniels

Loyola Marymount center Mattias Markusson will graduate and transfer, per a source. The 7-3 big man averaged 10.2 PPG and 6.3 RPG during the 2018-2019 season.

I hope we've already contacted him.

Its not like we haven't gotten a basketball transfer from Harvard before.

Somewhere Mike Zaun prays

I know people will see the size and clamor for him, but is a 7'3" guy who only averages 6.3 RPG in the WCC really a fit? On the bright side, I suspect he's had good coaching there.

I share you reservations on his output, however, I just viewed a video of him and he looks pretty good. Tall and pretty strong looking. I think MA can work with that. Hopefully, we'll see.

He definitely has some back to the basket skills we could use, but not sure he's athletic enough for a pressing team.
