Must be like his brother-vastly improved for that to be his list.

He might be playing one on five unless some other kids start committing there.

They have the number one class with at least 4 five stars.

Three days between Toppin entering the portal and committing to Kentucky. You would think there may have been some tampering, but Calipari would never do that.

So that's an average of 3 per season and there's what around 700 transfers per season?

transfer Jose Perez has heard from 30-plus schools since entering the portal, including:

Memphis
DePaul
Missouri
Georgia
Georgia Tech
Iowa State
Rhode Island
St. John's
Marquette
Tulsa
New Mexico
BYU
Illinois
Dayton
San Diego

15.2 PPG, 6.5 RPG, 4.2 APG

I'd say pass if he's a sit out transfer.
If he tries to get immeidate eligibility that 3% worries me. Then again it might fit in perfect with us.

Is this the same Jose Perez from Wings Academy? I was at the 2017 PSAL Semis at Carnesecca to watch Shamorie (Thomas Jefferson) play them. Perez was the second best player on the court that game. I'm surprised he didn't get better offers. He and Rasheem Dunn really impressed me that game. Wouldn't mind having both of them on the team next year.

Very weird because he was a very good 3-pt shooter as a frosh: 38.1% on 139 shots.

Then he dropped off to 25% on 104 shots as a soph.

Exactly. Troubling direction since most posters here assume everyone gets better over the course of 4 years ;)

Well we don’t have many options if Figueroa decides to leave so I’d easily take him in that instance if he’s eligible this year.

DePaul guard Jalen Coleman-Lands is in the transfer portal as a graduate transfer, sources told ESPN. Was recently granted a sixth year of eligibility by the NCAA.

If he is eligible this year I would not take him as it adds another junior to our roster. More fighting for pt and a disaster brewing in 2022 when the staff would have to replace the majority of the team.
If he has to sit out a season then he will become our second junior in 2021 with Champagne, help balance the classes and provide an additional scoring threat to help replaceDunn.
If Figueroa leaves Cole a first team JC AA will start and Earlington will get serious minutes at the 3 and 4. We have a very nice roster for next season with or without LJ.

Yeah but I’m of the belief that to really make a run at something we are going to need Lj’s experience and ability or at least another grad player with significant ability.

I too hope LJ comes back but if he doesn’t I accept another grad player, but I certainly don’t want another junior with immediate eligibility. If Perez is to sit out a year I can live with that.
