BTW-I think wrt Big East transfers this one might be the best. Assuming Carton is 100% healthy both physically and mentally he is not only a starting PG caliber player when he steps on the floor he is an All-League type of player.

Is this the same Jose Perez from Wings Academy? I was at the 2017 PSAL Semis at Carnesecca to watch Shamorie (Thomas Jefferson) play them. Perez was the second best player on the court that game. I'm surprised he didn't get better offers. He and Rasheem Dunn really impressed me that game. Wouldn't mind having both of them on the team next year.

Then he dropped off to 25% on 104 shots as a soph.

Exactly. Troubling direction since most posters here assume everyone gets better over the course of 4 years

Yeah but I’m of the belief that to really make a run at something we are going to need Lj’s experience and ability or at least another grad player with significant ability.
If he is eligible this year I would not take him as it adds another junior to our roster. More fighting for pt and a disaster brewing in 2022 when the staff would have to replace the majority of the team.

I too hope LJ comes back but if he doesn’t I accept another grad player, but I certainly don’t want another junior with immediate eligibility. If Perez is to sit out a year I can live with that.

I too hope LJ comes back but if he doesn’t I accept another grad player, but I certainly don’t want another junior with immediate eligibility. If Perez is to sit out a year I can live with that.
