Mike Anderson - Former Coach

The end of CMA's second year was suspect.
Everything seemed to be going great and then the bottom fell out of the program. Moore did his little mutiny. Then Dunn left. Followed by Moore, Earlington, Williams and more.
Then the DeMeo dismissal and lawsuit.
It was the turning point for CMA's tenure here. But all the turmoil also didn't preclude Cragg from dishing out the extension.

As for this year, the tweets of loyalty by Joel and AJ show CMA garnered respect and love from at least some players.

Honestly not surprised after putting the pieces together. The lawsuit from the former coach, the practice that fr. Saw and I believe a poster of ours said he ignored asst coaches advice on game plan. This won't have anything to do w Rick. Rick knows the political basketball game and knows it's about money. The fact that this is coming out today means someone else behind the scenes trying to mess with sju and this hiring

Then I guess I am...

Hey Fordham, I hope you’re totally right. Rooting like heck for this to happen!

On the surface this seems like a very sleazy thing to do and I think the only reason to do this is an attempt to negotiate a lower buyout or delay some of the payment. I don't have the facts but have been in front of arbitrators and they will likely dismiss anything that St. John's is saying.

As for Pitino I think it's likely he was told about this and although I respect him as a coach he understands the basketball world is slick and doubt this changes anything regarding his possible hiring.

Passing judgement on a lawsuit, without knowing all the facts, is totally ridiculous. Of course the lawyers for CMA are gonna make the school look like villains. Who cares? You think anyone at UCONN cared about the Ollie situation after a short while? Let's move forward with Pitino and let the lawyers sort this out.

Really? What difference does that make?
Does whst make? Taking the uconn job that just won its 4th ncaa championship in 20 year span as an up and coming mid major coach vs taking a at John’s job to finish off your career? I guess not much

Maybe I'm wrong. But it seems like Cooley is leaving Providence because he doesn't think they can compete in the new world order of NIL. I listened to that Providence link Otis provided and all three panelists alluded to that. So, Cooley, who is beloved there, doesn't think he can raise the cash needed to compete, but Rick would look at that situation and go "that's my best shot."

I'm not seeing that at all and on this one I would like to be right for once.

I think Pitino thinks he will win anywhere (probably right) so probably just looking for the most convenient and located place.

So if Pitino took over for Ollie at UConn and Danny Hurley took over for Anderson at SJU, in your mind that would be different? Ok.

Lol man, what about the scenario of Danny Hurley taking uconn job and pitino taking sju is similar? That’s my point.
