(BET) Marquette, Thur., MAR. 9, 12 Noon, FS-1

Congratulations to all the players
Valiant effort today. Really was hoping you were able to advance

Hard to believe it’s been since 2000 to be in the semi

There's no denying the progress Joel has made both in developing a professional body and as becoming a more refined player on both ends of the floor under Anderson. It's no surprise to me that he's fond of CMA and can't blame him for it.
Agreed. He is loyal and would expect a response like that from all his players, except Pinzon.

If Joel is willing come back for CMA, he’ll come back for a coach that can draw up a play that can get him the ball.
It is very likely that CMA is gone and for those who have unabashedly rooted for that, gloating is bad manners IMHO. For any of the players who had a good relationship with the coach that is very legitimate and should be respected. Soriano has really blossomed under CMA and his work ethic and performance here at SJU is one that all our fans can be really proud of.

The next coach may be successful, but also may not. I have no acrimony for our current coaches or our players. The results were not really there based on our hopes and expectations but the effort and caring by the players and the staff is not in question from where I sit. I wish all involved great success as they move forward, whether it is here or some place else.

My first thoughts about Soriano only coming back if Anderson comes back was, where are you going?

Mike gets an A for his players playing hard. But gets a F for his players playing low IQ bb. This should be addressed during their daily practices. Yet we see the same over and over again.
So the coach is responsible for the low basketball IQ of his players? Could it be that their low basketball IQ coupled with hero ballitis is the reason they can't/won't follow coaches instructions? Maybe we see the same over and over again because rthey are low IQ performers. I guess all teachers and all bosses are responsible for the poor performance of low IQ students and workers.

You tried making this point already multiple times in different threads and failed. Who recruited these, as you call them, low IQ players? Are you insinuating the coach is telling them to play one way and they simply are not listening? These are kids out there playing. It's all the coaches fault. Accept it.

We’ve seen enough sample size where CMA encourages hero ball. He preaches fast pace break neck frenetic possessions. This leads to players playing bully ball, one on two, sometimes three defenders. DJ had 22 shots, most of the forced variety and CMA didn’t even bat an eye because that’s the pace he wants to play. In this case he is solely responsible for recruiting his players.

To me the epitome of the Anderson coaching era was at the end of second half when Posh intercepted the pass and instead of Anderson calling a timeout with 12 seconds left, Jones turns it over
How about when King was dribbling in front of the bench with the shot clock at 7 and he starts dribbling backwards

Wrong again Al, teachers don’t get to pick their students coaches do. Oye Veh

Anderson has a system, and it is his responsibility to get the correct players to fit and then teach them how to implement it.

No one forced Anderson to bring Curbelo. He is a prime example of not only did he not fit into the system, he also could not coexist in the backcourt with Posh.

even if Posh took the ball instead and passed it to WUSU instead of the reverse. Isn't that why Posh is the point?
or Storr or Jones ....oh hell. too bad. they deserved better for that effort.
Don’t think the plan was a kickout for 3 necessarily. Wusu had tied the game on a drive in regulation. Not that his game is going to the rim and finish, but I think I’d rather him than Posh.
