Wow is right. Was at the game tonight. Citifield was packed. Old school pitching dual. First inning one run and that was the ballgame. I don’t know if SNY stayed with Diaz entrance. It was fun, crowd really got into it. He wobbled a bit there but he got it done. Nice crisp, well played baseball game by both teams.

Yeah they showed the entrance but the vidseo footage wasn’t as good as the other game. I like the video Angie of following him from directly behind him so it’s almost as if you are seeing what he is seeing
I never thought I’d see the day where not one, but two SNY cameramen and sound guys are trailing your Closer out of the bullpen for video but here we are. LOL. I mean a guy like Billy Wagner would’ve probably been pissed. The Intro is great TV but even better in person. Turn the lights down and sold out crowd standing and cheering. Side note, even the Fillies were top step watching the entrance.
Will be interesting when he blows one to see what happens. (Yes unfortunately it will happen) Guaranteed someone blames the intro.
Yeah I gotta imagine it’s freaking awesome in person. Both games I’ve been to this year Diaz hasn’t pitched and to be honest I don’t think I’ve ever noticed his closing music till last week. Familia during the world series year had an excellent entrance song that the crowd went crazy for too but this one is better. Didn't bother with game from DR but am watching Mets-great 4th inning. O'Neil totally heads up play as Philly centerfielder, ZZ Top lollipops ball to infielder. 4 of first 5 runs came with 2 out. hopefully we can get 6 innings from Bassett

they just showed a video of the 1969 Mets singing You Gotta Have Heart (probably from Ed Sullivan Show)--what a nostalgic hoot! Just checked Youtube and it can be seen there

They gave up two runs in 3 games and one of those ”runs” was a Manfred ghost runner. My hope is we abolish this atrocity and go back to playing Major League Baseball. Please. Teams should have to earn runs and not be gifted anything no matter how long it takes.

As you already know, I hate, Hate, HATE!!! that rule!!!Mets pitching right now…
That rule is really starting to bother me more than it did originally. If you want to protect the pitchers somewhat then add 1 more person to regular season rosters and let teams decide if they want to add a pitcher etc. Or have this rule kick in the 12 inning or somethingMets pitching right now…
