I also always thought Urshela was a bit overrated as a third baseman.

Donaldson's not great, but I think he gets to more balls than Urshela did.

Judge has also gotten much better defensively, when playing CF. Last year, he would often turn the wrong way on balls, and do the little whirling dervish when he threw. This year, you're seeing none of that.

I thought the way the Yanks came out at the start of this game it was going to be an annoying loss. But once again they got the bats going. Great home stand. Pitching is set up to do well in KC, maybe not so well in Toronto. But we'll see.

during the game, torres was given an error.
now looking at the current play by play, there is no yankee error.
we need the new minister of disinformation to investigate this.

Well one month completed and the pitching has been superb. A few spots have been sub par, name LF, 3B, 2B but tough to complain…. but I will. Everyone is getting a shot but Martin. He can play all of these positions and can put his bat on the ball. As long as we are swapping these positions daily put him in the rotation. He is the only one who has not been given a chance.
 
NY teams are hot ! Two best records in MLB, could make a special season. Good to see Rizzo playing at such a high level as well as Kiner-Falefa. Cortes and King awesome! Judge, Stanton , going well too.DJ awesome!
Happy for Buck Showalter and all those frustrated fans over there too!
 
Yes, we're in a soft portion of the schedule, but we're taking advantage of it, and banking wins. That's what the good teams do.

I thought Cole gutted out his game. Good pitchers can do that. Team is playing well together.

Higgy is a backup. He proves that everytime he gets extended playing time. The same is probably true of Trevino. Both guys are probably playing a little more often than they should be.

Cashman needs to be on the lookout for a catcher who can at least rake a little bit. It's not an immediate need, but I do think it will need to be addressed down the road.
