New York Mets 2025 Season

Crazy. Rogers is a quality bullpen guy. We battle back from 8-2 to tie the game only to see him give the lead right away. Relievers are so frustrating.

Rather predictable let down series and the schedule gets tougher from here
Disagree, these are pros who WERE right in a divisional race coming into this series. They don’t begin to belong in the playoffs if they let down. They are a below .500 team since June 1, that is just a bad baseball team.
Their veteran starters have let them down big time, not to mention the meltdowns from the bullpen. Their pitching and lack of clutch hitting has set them up to even blow the wild card.

I rather them play a “tough” schedule. They’re utter shit against “poor” teams because they lack any serious focus and the manager does very little to remedy that.
To that end, Taylor played CF in 2 of 3 against Philly and one against the Marlins, went 6 for 9 with 5 RBIs and the Mets went 3-0. McNeil played center in the middle game against the Phillies and Mullins the other 3 against the Marlins. McNeil went hitless and Mullins is 0 for 10 in the three, all Met losses.
Now I am far, FAR from blaming that, especially Mullins, for the losses but rather commenting on the change, as in WHY? You are in a real race for the division and wild card and you bench a hot player?
The shine has very much come off for me as far as Mendoza is concerned.

We had an old school manager in Buck got rid of him after the let down in 2023. Only thing I can say about Mendoza is the guys like him but like Boone he’s a puppet. It’s funny how well Milwaukee is doing without Harvard. All these analytical clowns 🤡 have destroyed the game. You can never have enough starting pitching and they got fortunate last year. Not resigning Iglesias was a mistake he brought a good vibe to the clubhouse like a Ray Knight. Unless they play Filthy Philly this team ain’t doing nothing.

Senga has been trash for the last month and a half.
To think that we aligned our rotation for 6 man to keep Senga “fresh”. He’s been a stiff for the last two months.

Mendoza has to take some criticism here along with pitching coach Jeremy Hefner. Our starting pitching and bullpen are sucking wind. Why?

The “letdown” from efforts from Holmes (he was the worst as he didn’t hustle and looked disinterested), Peterson (Steven Matz disease who couldn’t stop the bleeding) and Senga who doesn’t want to challenge hitters. This was a classic, Mets lack of urgency series. No one seems upset. We get the same canned BS comments. No idea what this team is.
