This being CRPs second year, I expected a bump, but surely didnt expect to be atop the BE standings this time of year.
AMAZING!
Being a long time fan/sufferer I expected the same letdown because of the Baylor game’s ending, which seemed so typical.
Things have def changed! The whole attitude and vibe. All my friends are telling me how well the Johnnies are doing. Its awesome.
Im gonna bust out my 2002 game worn Mohamed Diakite jersey for the BET. Got it from my buddy who was on the soccer team who was friends with him.

Such a fun team this year. Not taking it for granted because can't count on future teams to be this fun in this era even with Pitino.
I'm a guy that would much prefer an elite defense to an elite offense so this team is right up my alley.
Still work to do but they are exceeding even the top end of what I thought the range of potential outcomes was.
Zuby the highest motor of any SJU player I remember. Such an easy player and person to root for.
Scott playing his tail off every game too, doing all the little things, hitting big shots and a swiss army knife on D.
Kadary and Luis are stars. Deivon up there as well when healthy. Sim has his moments and plays hard on D even when he's not getting or making shots. Prey giving us way more than expected on D. Ayo provides energy and steadiness when in and is always cheering on the guys when on the bench.
Just a really fun season and group of players so far. Lots of basketball left this season and going to enjoy the ride.

I don't want Duke too early even though their losses have been to bullies. So for now I'm content just to chant "We want Butler."

Sure, Jackson is making mega bucks but how much fun is he having under Hubert?
UNC is garbage. He could be at SJU's and celebrating after each huge win with the fellas.

Would have been good spot for Rick to break out his white suit but don’t think Seton Hall is worth it not that I for one ever take any game for granted for any of my teams.
He sweated through the white linen suit at Louisville and was almost arrested.

Jackson's defense will have to improve considerably to play the type of minutes his offense would warrant. Some of that is just the lack of defense Hubert brings overall and some of it freshman curve but I think he'll have to learn a lot in an offseason to close the gap to play defense like this squad. Moor point though as I doubt he's heading here.
After disappointing early OOC play, we needed to;
Get off to a great BE start - check
Improve our BE road performance - check
Be successful in gauntlet portion of schedule - check
This hungry group is going to be BE regular season champion, has tremendous shot to win BE T and punch a Dance ticket with a very good seed.
The 20+ years of mediocrity was worth it, well not really
, but this is really a year to remember.

Jackson and Boogie are both guys who gotta work on getting stronger and their defense to fit in here. Obviously they're worth taking, and for their futures, it's also an obvious choice.
