Um the press helped bring us back a couple of times, it definitely bothered them and makes you take longer to get into your offense. That’s why.

There are different types of press and their only intent is not always to come up with a steal.
The ignore button is a good thing. It’s been on for a year plus with this guy because I couldn’t figure out if he was a Uconn or Hall fan.

A little concerned just because I didn’t love the way they looked against UConn either and followed by this…I just think this is the first real “wobble” I’ve felt from them since the Bahama trip (after the Georgia game I was a bit concerned also)

That said, I think they’ve got too good of a coach with too experienced of a Starting 5 to let this thing start to slip. Back half of our Big East schedule was always going to be tougher & they’ve gotten off to a good start on the back ten despite tonight’s result. Road games are always tough. Very tough with so little depth. A healthy Smith would go a very long way. It would be really nice if one of Lefty or Glover could prove themselves capable of 10 minutes off the bench. We just need another guy Pitino trusts a little.

I feel like this is a loss we needed to take, no I'm not just drinking copium. This will ground us, it will level us, we will thrash Creighton and hopefully win out the regular season.

It's scary to go into a tournament run with a crazy win streak. Now we can start another one.

Normally I would agree but I go by a game by game situation. Our priority on Novas last possession should have been to get a stop. They are an excellent shooting team so straight up man would have served us better as it may have caused a wild off balanced shot, not a clean look which the D we played did. You have to go by what you know about the other team and what fits for the moment in a best case scenario.

It was my fault, I chose today of all days to bet on the Johnnies. I gave them the jinx even Kadary couldn't over come. I won't make this mistake again. I'll sacrifice my degenerate nature for more wins.

I too think that they looked tentative from the start. Did they miss Smith?
I think they did, we don't have anyone on the bench that can play at a big east level yet. Smith at least gives us one guy off the bench (whether it is Smith or Wilcher). He also gives us another guy that can drive to the basket. With RJ off and Wilcher only shooting 3s we only had Kadary who would go to the basket. That's not great because even with we miss a lot of times Smith, Kadary or Luis can draw defenders and Zuby can score on the put back.

The bench is a total mess. I thought glover could play but he cant. He has lost all confidence and looks terrible out there. Prey is ok on defense, but hes terrible too and has no business being out there. Vince doesnt give us much.

Ayo ans Lefty is all we got at this point.

We miss Brady.

But in this situation Dave, we didn’t need a turnover or pressure for that matter, we needed a solid defense in the front court and the scrambling press allowed for an open three.
We needed defense and letting them inbound the ball with no pressure in the backcourt just gives them less to think about and spend less time doing it.
