In the Summer I didn’t agree with blowing up the roster and everyone got mad. At end of the day we will be in good shape and Pitino will get us back in the tournament, but this appears to be yet another throw away year and it didn’t have to be.

A.J. Storr is the one that really stands out to me. But - Rick gave him the chance to stay and he chose not to. I wish he did and I knew this would happen but if he doesn't want to play for Rick no one can help that.

Wasu was not given the chance to come back with the off-the-court drama with shoving the manager in the locker room and other issues things that were discussed on another thread. That's a team cancer attitude and he is vastly overrated we don't need him. He dropped a whopping 6 pts against Creighton. He only played well against us because it was an at-home grudge match for him and we played lazy. He is not a great player.

I don't know the story on Posh and Jones. I think Posh was similar to Storr in choosing not to come back but I don't think he is that great. Looked slow last year on court and had some flashes but I don't think he really fits our system.

Jones - I don't know what went into that.

The only things that is interesting about the constant regurgitation of this topic is how much talent was on the roster last year, and how poorly that talent was utilized. That tells us two things - 1) Mike Anderson was a better recruiter than we gave him credit for, but 2) he was a far worse coach.

I was an Anderson backer until the very end (basically until the Xavier "streetfight mode" game), and it is very disappointing to see how well those guys are playing with proper coaching.

More like... Larry Right.

I think we had good players last year, but not a good team. Not a good mix of players' abilities.

Now, they've all gone their separate ways, and have gone to teams where their specific skill set(s) was needed.

That's the difference, IMO.

We've been talking about it since March of last year. We've gone through all different potential roster machinations, we've sorted through different rumors/facts/falsehoods/etc. of all individual players & their situations, we've all talked about how terrible Anderson is, we've also all talked about how bumpy the transfer portal was last year. I don't understand what we have to talk about at this point -- even if we lose every game from here on out, what is there to talk about that's even slightly new, interesting, refreshing, etc?

And I want to be super clear. I'm not directing this at you @Larry Wright , so I apologize if its coming off as a personal attack. I see these conversations in post game threads, other new threads popping up, etc. I just don't know what there is to analyze or debate about at this point.

Only brought it up because I saw Jones stats which I hadn’t been paying attention to.
